Why didn't I look at the requirements for PoR master trophy before I moved on?

I have PoR on order and just today, upon reaching 200 with my last gimp TS (Alchemy at 220 and brewing at 290), I decided to get my Brewing GM corker.

Excitedly I collected the gems and velium for their mounting, blowing the last of my cash and 'bingo', Grandmaster's Brewer's Corker, which I promptly proceeded to place in my ammo slot in place of the little crab who used to live there (5% fishing mod).

Just as hurriedly I ran to the Bazaar, pushing people out of the way, running over gnomes, stepping over very upset ogres' corns, toppling over little old ladies' shopping trolleys, for my 'free' weight reduction bag.
Knowing my upgrade is finally in the mail (or soon to be), I checked out the guide here for the Master's trophy to get the first of those who'll follow.

Looking line by line and overlooking the 'create' section, I make up a list of the things I will have to obtain in preparation.... "yes, I have... no, I have to get... get sister's druid to forage that thing..." , until I come to Grandmaster's Brewer's Corker. Everything in me jumped with joy "Yes! I just got that today... eeeeasy money, baby!"

Then I remembered... "wait... was there a 'create' for it in the task?"...

    Otherwise:
    Brewing (300+T7), Baking (300+T7), Smithing (286+T5+M1), Alchemy (258+T5+M3), Pottery (230+T4+M3), else (200+T4), Artisan Charm
Time Waste (300) + GM Procrastinating Console (PC)

/em gently places a pillow between Bigotes and the wall

They did a workaround on that. Hand your GM item into the person you got the quest from; you'll get a text update (for having it created), THEN hand it to the "turn-in" girl for full credit.

Crystilla, does that turn-in trick only work for the old GM trophies, or does it work for other thing as well? I've never heard of this little feature before, and it would explain why some person was selling beer-braised nest drake soup in the bazaar. That is, if it actually works for items like that.

Nope only GM Trophy since it's expensive to make and Ngreth is nice. If it worked for items other than GM trophy, you could buy a master artisan trophy if you have the skill. There's a bug with the tinkering recipes though..
Edit: don't worry, it's a good bug, and doesn't affect the quest if you do it the normal way

It actually mentions about the GM trophies in the task when you get it. However I guess if you are reading a write up it may not include this info.

Not that it should happen often (or at all), but for Brewing and Baking, it is possible to consume the item after making it and before getting around to turning it in. It is also possible that the item might have accidentally been dropped and lost or sold to a vendor and the buy-back cost is beyond reach.

Since the flag for the creation shows as complete, the item could be purchased and the purchased item could be turned in. The item being turned in does not have to be the specific one created in order to receive the flag.

So, while it doesn't work exactly like the 'old trophy' turn in, there is a reason that someone might be trying to sell one of the turn-in products. He's not likely to get a buyer for this reason, but it is possible.
