Before I left the house today, I had my trader set up. I come back in 8 hours later to find my computers off. Somehow one of my cat worked the power plug just loose enough to cut the power.

When I checked the bazaar log, the power was cut not even 3 minutes after I left A wasted day and not a platinum piece earned.

I think the cuipirt was my 12 weeks old mini tazmanian devil...

I haven't had my cat do it to me before; however, I have come home to find my computer had rebooted itself. I click on my login and I get a cute little windows message pop-up saying "Your computer was automatically rebooted after an update" or something like that. Just so happens to happen when I plan on my trader being on for a whole weekend or something like that. No money made, but at least my computer is updated, lol.

TheWife and I have two cats, she never had pets other then fish / birds as a kid.

Mom-in-Law is seriously alergic to cats.

Actually, what happened is the cat was "c-baying" (cat-baying) and trying to sell her water bowl and /gasp, the dog next door so she could buy a nice new collar. You came home unexpectedly, so she had to turn off the power real quick, lest she be caught in the act, and be the one that gave the secret away. She didn't have time to make it look like your trader had been up all day, without anyone buying anything. She just hit the power button, and then ran under the window, and pretended to be asleep.

I have a 18 pound Siamese Persian mix (never get one... ). He has yet to do anything to my power cables, mainly because he doesn't mess with anything i am interested in, unless I am around. He has however, wiped at least two raids, and killed my group off at least a dozen times by jumping up onto my keyboard, stomping on it and blocking my view at the worst time possible (of course, they're kind of born with that innate ability I think).

Conversely (since one of my guildies was also my roomie and used to complain non-stop about what a PITA my kitty is, everyone I hang out with in EQ knows him quite well... so any time I make a totally newbie mistake I can just type

And I never get in trouble. Yes its not ethical but... heh

While my fish will never manage to turn off my computer or walk across my keyboard, I often keep his bowl up near the screen since he seems to like watching the colour and movement. I was delighted the other day when he seemed to pick up on my frustration with seeing bats at yet another raid and he began to try and attack them. Nothing like seeing a betta puffed to his fullest with fins flying as he darts from one side of his bowl to the other, following as the bats crossed the computer screen.

hehe, iv had sometin similiar happen to me..
mid raid.. my cat and families dog start running around like idiots attacking each other.. and ..landed on the power strip power button .. i just kept comp down and went to bed was so annoyed.. of course.. next day i went to log on ..i get on, i start fighting osmetin, and i think it was the power source (sometin like that) ..fried.. had one from a few months back when we thought that was the problem with comp, so we replaced that and it worked fine.. i just had such a freaking laugh that weekend being the "screw you, you aint getting on" days
