  • When tailors attack... ugh..

I hope this link isn't removed, as I was very careful to remove the names of the two parties involved. I tried to post this normal, but no matter what I did I kept getting this 'new word match' error.

So... I made a link. I hope I can get some constructive feedback, I've kinda had enough sand being kicked in my face for no good reason... bleh.

I am not sure how to /report cross server tells. However you should ask them to stop, then when they do not, /report them and /petition them. In the petition put what server they are sending tells from as well as the name. It gets bumped up. If the /report does not work, mention that in the petition as well.

Sorry to hear that happened Cylestria...

Ignore does not have to be a command by the way. You responded to each and every one of his comments....

Had this been me, I would not have kept talking to said idiot.

I know what you mean delfontes. I had to learn how to reply to him first though, and I was frustrated by then since I had never been in this position before. But, regardless, I learned this command:

          ;ignore

so now I can't get any unwanted tells or messages from other servers (I believe) until I toggle it on again. That should help. yay!

          1k per success, lol!

Had he misinterpreted the conversation, or was he messing with your head?
            Confused, or borderline insane?

So the ;ignore stops all cross server tells, or you can specify a name? That's a kinda reassuring feature.

                I'd say immature.

I don't think you did anything wrong, and I most likely wouldn't do the same with fletching , unless I was working on fletching and at a fletcher at the time..

Eh, look at it this way, be glad that you're not like that..

Too bad you didn't put in a name, was going to go make a char on his server and see if he would really drop anything and come make me backpacks

But yeah, if the ;ignore doesn't work, I'd petition a GM. That was pretty rude and uncalled for.

Personally, I found your intial response a little curt with the "i want back packs lady". But Mr-GM's response was completely unfounded.

My guess? Mr-Gm wife whined about someone being mean to her - so Mr-GM decided to step in and protect the wifey.

Good lord, people, fight your own **** battles.

I would have asked the GM if the 250 Tailoring skill came with the title. (ya, they prolly have a regular char, but the post needs a little laughter)

Very sorry that you had to deal with that kinda of abuse, especially from a GM. Who do they think they are? Who does that Wife think she is?

                      *hugs Cylestria*

Try to not let it get you down, if so, then report his arse.

                        Psst... Nimphe...

GM also stands for GrandMaster. =)

I don't think this was an actual GM. I think the point is he was a GM Tailor.

I remember a saying that goes something like this.

"Never argue with a fool. It only frustrates you and makes it hard for others to tell the difference."

                          Ignore is your friend.

A bit harsh there... but I really have to remember that quote, as it reflects my thoughts often.

Did anyone famous say that? Reminds me of something Twain might have said.

Not intended to be harsh, just meant to point out that sometimes arguing with someone who's mind is made up, don't confuse them with the facts, is pretty fruitless.

And frankly, I don't recall who said it. It seemed Twain-esque but I couldn't find it on any of the searches I did. I'd have given proper credit if I knew.
