    This has nothing to do with tradeskills but interested to know if others have this issue too.

    Anyone noticed that everyone is blocked from speaking in any channels in the chat section of EQ? Such as the stuck character one?
    Only way to speak to a GM seems to be in tells (IF they even bother answering, today i waited 15 minutes for a reply and I was the only one there).

    Does this "all blocked in chat" mean the chat service will be removed you think?

    Yup, I noticed this too. The only way to speak to a person is to go to tech chat, and of course you can't get any ingame help from them.

    Tech chat can tell you that
    TSR Xavier T.: Yes, ingame support work on 24x7 and therefore you will find someone for sure.
    BUT:

    Me: please could you ask a GM to send a tell to Xxxx on Quellious server?
    Me: he has petitioned, as have others in the group
    Me: there are no GMs on quellious server atm
    Me: or could you please give me the name of the GM that is currently on?
    TSR Xavier T.: I am sorry but we are not concerned with that department and therefore I am unable to give you any such info.
    Me: there are not currently any GMs in the chat, so as far as I am aware, there are no GMs available
    TSR Xavier T.: You may find them ingame also.
    Me: That is exactly what I am saying... they are NOT online on Quellious at the present time.
    Me: are you saying that you are unable to find out if there are any GMs available?
    TSR Xavier T.: Yes, because we are not concerned to that department and therefore we do not have any such info.

    Me: I find it concerning that you can tell me there is a GM online, but you cannot tell me who.
    TSR Xavier T.: I am sorry but can not tell you the name. But you must find someone ingame as they are available for round the clock.
    Kristina: There isn't anybody available, that is just the point.
    Kristina: I am sure you don't intend to be misleading, but there is not currently anyone there.
    TSR Xavier T.: You might have to wait as they assist many players at a time but you will find for sure.
    Obviously, I emboldened the text here to show the inconsistent answers. They can say that there HAS to be someone available because Customer Support supposedly work 24/7, but at the same time they don't have any idea who is online nor how to get in touch with them (apart from petitions, which generally have a response time of over two hours in my experience).

    ()"*%*$%&*$^ frustrating when you live in the UK. Phone support isn't an option since it would be way too expensive, and petitions never get answered until after I've given up and gone to bed.

    Seriously, what's the point of having chat channels if nobody can talk in them?

      Well if its any consolation even being in the US there is no phone support for in-game issues. I have tried, SO many time. My suggestion is to be patient.

          uhmm didnt want this to turn into a rant against EQ just a question if anyone else has this problem and knows why you cannot talk in channels anymore?

            According to the guy I spoke to (see extracts from log above), there is currently "an issue" with the channels. He didn't say what the issue was, nor when it was expected to be working again (nor even if anyone was working on it).
