After spending a fortune on bricks of molten ore, turning them into bolts and gears, spending HOURS in PoI foraging grease, spending even more time turning them into clockwork grease and doing some 83 combines, my tinkering skill rose a whopping two points! That in itself isn't so bad. I understand that this is a game and it's what I do on my limited free time and making actual progress is not something that is designed into this game but after all that, my tinkering trophy, that is level 4 and just 8% into it, got only a 4% increase for all those combines. I'll grandmaster tinkering and my trophy will still be 24% into level 4!
