When you compare Cazic tradeskill recipes (the most un-tradeskill minded system) with DoDH research and tinkering (possibly Ngreth's first full-fledged tradeskill systems), you can tell the difference it makes. It's not just better communication and quicker rectifications. Most importantly, it's tradeskill systems designed by tradeskill minds. That's what I love most about tradeskilling since Ngreth joined the team.
The difference in my perception of tradeskills is just huge. First off we now get flow of information, even if its bad news that something isn’t going to happen, or isn’t going to happen for a long time. But mainly its knowing that someone who is truly passionate about tradeskills, who ‘gets’ the mentality of the tradeskiller, and who understands how important it is to get the balance between challenge and fun, is on the case.
Sometimes you get the impression from some of the ‘shoutier’ voices that the only thing that will truly make them happy is logging on one day to find every tradeskill got maxed whilst they slept, and everyone else’s stayed where it was.
Tradeskills are not meant to be easy, they are a path chosen by a few, and therein lies their value in terms of creating a market for our products, and their reward, in terms of a personal sense of achievement.
Thanks N'greth.

{giggles} Good idea, Cantatus. He'd probably try to eat it (trace metals and all that), or melt it down for his smithing or something.
{shakes head} Tried to wash his mouth out with soap the other day for using the unfiltered form of w*rk (which is as bad as m*rning, in my book), and he ate the soap on me!
On a more serious note, while it does require a bit of extra fancy footwork to be sure we don't have conflicts of interest, I, too, am glad, for the EQ community's sake, and hubby's sake, that he's found such a good spot to use his skills.
Lady Denmum, if ya don't want him getting proposals.. Tell the man to put on some CLOTHES before he goes bopping around the servers... I have a *loverly* screenshot of him nekky from yesterday.
