I posted a fairly long test in the Moderators' Corner. However, it was entirely new text. If I copy and paste the second part of my rant, the error reproduces consistently every time regardless of forum.

Cigarskunk: please review my Fist of Death rant to see if you used any of those characters.

Everyone else: Feel free to try this as well. As you're posting, keep an eye on the text. Use the Back button on your browser if you get the error. Please do not post test posts.

Wow - talk about fast service - here are those screen shots.

This first one is the response I was going to do with Kehvrynne's "Fist of Death" rant. As you can see, I did a cut and paste style quote, had no sig going and included the addy line just in case.



This next one is what it told me - there was no other info so I'm just including the error messages and the addy line.

This is the post that was giving me the error message I linked above. I had been assuming that the post never went through, so I kept retrying every once in a while to see if it had been fixed. After losing the text the first time, I had to retype it in a word processor, then copied and pasted it for each attempt.

Well, it turns out that even though I was getting the error screen, the message was posting every time! However, on the "View my posts" page, in the Marketplace page (list of server forums), and in the Veeshan server list of posts, it was showing as not updated.

I'll leave the full text of the messages for now, so you can find out what happened serverside. I'll delete or edit the posts tomorrow to clean up the mess. Alternately, feel free to delete the duplicate posts.

Ah, so it wasn't just me. I had the same error in the Tailoing forum...eventually ended up with me making 2 identical posts and having to go back and delete one.
