How do you 32k yourself? The max you can fall for is 20k.. so unless you become a raid mob and DT yourself.... yeah...

When I was extremely new to the game, like a couple of days, friend ran my baby bardling over to FP from Qeynos, so I was exploring the frightening wilderness of both Commonlands.

I thought Dragoon Zytl was a neat dark elf pc, and hailed him...

You tend to get a lot of adds - sharks, barracudas and sirens, and it gets tiresome dealing with them. Since the 'next' target might very well be behind me, and since I didn't want to keep turning around, I had gotten in the habit of just hitting F8 and attack as soon as one mob died, so that I could just kill the nearest one in front of me.

I should note first of all that I have moderate Dragon faction - enough not to be KoS to all the mobs in CS that are on those factions.

I should also note that while I was aware of who Kelorek Dar was, I had never actually laid eyes on him and in the back of my mind I guess had always assumed that he was big. I didn't expect him to be more or less barracuda size.

Anyway, you can guess the rest. I didn't actually splat and even, for a brief moment, had some hope that I might have a chance, but his dd proc is evidently unresistable and I was gone in short order.
Did you happen to see Kelorek under the water? The under water model is one of the most beautifully done in game imo. The land model doesn't do it justice

            My two favorites.

            1) I was tearing around the Overthere with my bard looking for Cockatrices for a GM event... 30-40 minutes, and about half way in I switched from Song of Travel to the 2.5 minute Selos... about 15 minutes later I go shooting right off the cliff into the Skorpikis area... dead.

            2) And this is probably my favorite of all time... Waaaaayyy back in the day the guild I raided with (I was in a different guild but I had been friends for so long I was basically guilded) went to NTOV for the first time. The guild/raid leader, who was a mage (and **** good at what he did) made one crucial mistake midway through the raid... he forgot that he didn't cast Eye of Zomm.. so he just ran out, through all the mobs, to the next target. The beautiful thing was, he was in my group... life drops, life drops... WTF!!! dead... 30 seconds later, he's cursing a blue streak that'd make a sailor blush. For a while after that I always looked back at my char whenever I used Eye or Stalking probes, just to be sure I wasn't running in.

As I was soloing my shawl quests and roaming around EW, I knew I needed to head over to the Kael entrance for the next part of the task, I had not visited Kael before so I went directly to the entrance. Suddenly, I am rezzing and scroll up to see I took 20,000 pts damage. "WFT!?" "What hit me?!" "20,000??" , all ran through my mind. That was how I learned about the drop at the entrance to Kael.

While back, shortly after Velious came out. I was still in my low 40's. Go to Great Divide for the first time...have to afk, tell rogue buddy I have him on auto-follow. Come back to find myself standing naked at bind point. Asked if he lived...he did, seeing as he killed me--accidentally, he claims--simply by running around.

Seems that auto-following a rogue with safe-fall through hilly terrain while SoW'ed is a Bad Idea (tm).

Had a lot of, "OMG, I haven't died that fast since I accidentally attacked the paladin guild leader at level 1!" moments when I came back from my two year break...way behind in equipment, mobs much tougher. Seems like all they had to do was glare threateningly at me and I was back at bind.

Now days, they at least have to spit at me too.

Bad day for my group. Was in MPG a few days ago getting ready to head to our camp spot when someone /ooced train. We backed away from the zone and got group invised. I've had trains to WOS zone but usually it's trash mobs that don't see invis.

Not this time, the train contained a see-invis mob that got pulled. We scampered to zone to WOS. Alas poor cleric was the first in my group to die.

The old saying... out of the frying pan and into the fire applies here...

Hulcror was waiting for us on the otherside and wiped my group (as we had lost invis) and a few others who also tried to zone away from MPG train and the trainer himself.

When we came back, it seems the person who trained hulcror in WOS had lost invis, zoned to MPG only to meet his death with the MPG train.

Bad day... 11 rezzes total on both side of the zone line. my MGB paragon dd help a lot with the recovery.

a few days back in skyfire there was some sort of bug and all mobs seemed to spawn on the construction near the druid port in.

Our group was in SF to look for some cleric epic drops and half way through a fight of something green to me, I crash.
Log back in and find myself nekkid at bind point the rest of the group had also vanished and I had no clue what hit me.

Then I hear that one of the fabled wurms spawned also there, right on top of me while i was going LD.

Hehehe how better to find the fabled of your choice?

                          Fabled Talendor

Heh, my husband wanted to go to Skyfire to 3-box shards for his daughter's cleric (70 monk, 70 shammy, 60 cleric).

He zones in, Fabled Talendor is there to kill him before he barely finishes zoning. I go to bed. I hear "****it" a couple more times before I fall asleep....

In the morning, he tells me that he ended up dying 5-6 times to Fabled Talendor before he finally gave up.

During the anniversary event, my character got jumped and killed by the Fabled Talendor FOUR TIMES. I didn't even know it was him doing the killing the first three times, as all I saw in my message box was "Your flesh boils from your bones", or something to that effect, a detrimental spell icon appearing in my spell effects box, and taking massive amounts of damage until my character died (which was quickly). No "such-and-such monster begins to cast a spell" message, just the spell hitting and killing my character. I only discovered it was the Fabled Talendor when I found out he actually casts that spell from a great distance, hence no message as to what was doing the casting.

So it was with great relief for me that the anniversary event finished and some group of characters finally went out and brought that insanely powerful killing machine down, which I confirmed by taking a druid alternate character and scouting the whole zone while tracking. Yep, he wasn't around anymore. Excellent, my favourite zone was open again!

So yesterday I head into the Skyfire Mountains to begin a long task. I'm just finishing off the first critter I need to complete the first step of said task when I get jumped and killed - by the Fabled Talendor! It seems as though there's some sort of bug in the game which is still letting the fabled critters respawn. I /bugged this, of course, and am now avoiding the Skyfire Mountains until I finally hear that something's being done about this.

Good news about Fabled Talendor, is that since there is a patch today, all zones (including SF) are going to be repopped! Bye bye Fabled Talendor, Hello Cleric 1.0!

I didn't do this one, but one of the mages in a guild raid accidentally had Sontalak targetted and cast a DS. Sont ran over to the raid, ate only that mage in about half a bite (gnomes don't need much ketchup or beer to go down) then went back to guard the entrance to ToV.

This one didn't wipe the raid, but caused everyone to laugh so hard that we had to do it over. PoSky, back when it took a raid to do Spiroc Lord, I was the lucky pally to eat the DT. Shoot an arrow, hit Divine Aura, only to find that death touch goes through DA. I landed at my bind and said in raid "well, that didn't work" and everyone just lost it.

When playing my chanter, I decided to see what "sentinel" did while at the city gates. Up runs an orc chasing a newb, sentinel fires. Guards kill orc, sentinel fires, guards run over to sitting chanter...SPLAT... I've never memmed that spell again.
