The thing I hate the most?
I get all set for a run of skill ups. I have moved around my gear into my bank and shared bank to make as much space as possible in my bags for parts+products. I go to the vendors who sell the parts I need to do my combines...and invariably I buy a random assortment of stuff (blue diamonds, powder of ro, yttrium, CDD, mountain sludge, etc.). Nothing super exciting, but useful stuff..that is now taking up bag space I was planning to use for skill ups.
I saw a CDD this week while buying template patterns and thought "Woot! I don't have to buy that!"

          Memo

lol I definitely did not get the memo about fine bone chips. I solo mostly for exp these days, in buried sea. I usually get 3-4 chips per lesson by soloing undead.

I sell every one of them to vendor for... 19pp each I think.

I must have sold a cumulative total of at least 6 stacks by now.

          Time to start saving them...

The tower in the NW corner of Blightfire Moor had the best fine bone chip drop rate for me, about 10/hour. Kind of boring, but less risky than TBS skellies.

Oh, as for things I hate: Small Clockwork Screws, whether on the vendor or on the mobs. One time I got 17 screws before I got a bolt.

Fishing grubs. Especially if there's only 1.

If you're really so hard-pressed for cash that you need the 3cp from selling a fishing grub to a merchant... you have bigger problems on your hands, methinks.

Also, virtually any cheap item on a high-traffic merchant (guild lobby, several in POK, etc). I actually will buy the very cheap items (<1g) and sell them to another full merchant just to see if someone sells a better item to that merchant.

I do this all the time, especially with the vendors in the Bazaar.

It's an old habit now, but it has netted me some nice stuff in the past.

                      Vendormining

Never really done the vendor mining thing before, so the whole concept is new to me. The best thing that has happened to me was quite by accident. I found 55 NBL's on a PoK vendor and bought them all. Closed the vendor window and got the, "You are low on drink." message. Opened the vendor window again and there was 16 Sunshard Ore on her for about 6ish silver each. Needless to say, but I will anyway, those went into my inventory too. I always sort the vendors by price which helped me catch the ore.
