Is Cheating O.K.?

I believe that quite a lot of people on my server are using third party software to run monster missions. Specifically the lavastorm clockwork monster mission. I don't know exactly how it works, but someone I know just leaves his three accounts online and goes to sleep and when he wakes up he has tons of aa's. He says that most of the people hanging around in lavastorm are doing the same thing (there are usually 60+ there at any given time).

While I like the guy, what he's doing is WRONG. Apparently a lot of people are doing the same thing. All I want is for someone to show me where those silly prisoners are so I can go running round solA on my own!!

Lets just say that the double xp weekend combined with automated xp leaves a nasty taste in my mouth.

(Personal rant of the night: I have to say I hate the 68.1 DoDH spell mission! We tried this again tonight though getting anyone to do anything other than 69.1 or mms is a nightmare. Failed again of course )

I used to see this on my old sever, some guy managed get his toon inside a rock under the ice bridge in thurgadin, he was there for hours and hours on end. There was no way he was sitting at his computer doing this.... and if he is not at his comp then its considered an illegal macro.

The same character then moved to Jaggedpine Forrest and was doing the same thing.

2 zones with highly prized forage items.

Honestly, I've been known to sit at my computer for hours and just forage in some zones.

(But times like that, I also had a game on my other PC or was surfing / chatting to pass the time).

Some people do (and will) sit and forage for a long time. Yes, we are insane, too.

Yep. That's what I do. When I am on a raid and I am not on assignment to heal the MT, I usually turn on my second computer and send my druid to PoI to forage the grease. I have a macro that does forage, autoinventory then after a long pause voice say something so I know it's time to hit that button again. It works well and I don't believe SoE would consider that cheating.
