    Server crashes

    ARGH!!! Maelin's bazaar has gone down 3 times in the past 24hours, plus all the other random crashes over the past 2 weeks, I'm getting sick of it. The thing is I sometimes get the message "You have been logged off due to inactivity" DUH my little monk is in bazaar, in buyer mode, so yeah normally I'm AFK. It would be one thing if they'd advise us if we were getting kicked out because they don't want people AFK, but I'm so annoyed at this point, all I'm trying to do is buy tradeskill components. I'm not trying to exploit or macro or anything, sheesh.

    Not sure if your server is actually crashing, but...there's been a patch every night for the past few days.

    As far as the inactivity message, that means inactivity at the server select level. What happens is that the server goes down (patch or crash...) and you get booted to the server select screen. After a certain amount of time on that screen, you get the inactivity message...so, no, they aren't kicking you out for being AFK.

      I was on the other day when we Maelin went down. The server screen did say that the server was down along with one other server while the others were up. It was back up withing 20 minutes tops. Sadly, my LDON was lost

      O Well, servers used to crash more often in the "old days" and disconnects were much more common back then too. So basically I take them with a grain of salt.

          The servers are having stability issues right now due to some back-end changes the devs did to support the new EQPlayers.com. Luclin has also crashed a few times over the last few days, and I've seen sporadic reports of crashes from other servers too. There's a patch scheduled for tonight that's supposed to fix the cause of all these crashes.

          The message "You have been logged off due to inactivity" doesn't appear because you were inactive in the game. (I've had my trader logged in for over a week at a time without getting booted. Instead, when the server crashes, your character gets booted to the server select screen. You cannot stay inactive at this screen for too long. If you do, you get that inactivity message and get logged out.

          The upshot is that when you see that inactivity message, it means either the server crashed or you got disconnected from the server. Either way, you dropped back to the server select screen, then got logged out after a few minutes.

            Hiya Heynanni! Fairly new to OWT actually... loving it so far!

            After a server crash this weekend, when the servers came up not all zones were accessible, such as the Bazaar! Someones Bazaar mule ended up popping up in the tutorial unable to move due to all "luggage" he/she had. Was an interesting conversation going on in /general over it.

              Which was suposed to be live today, but is not as of right now, for some reason.
