    smithing 290 - 304 with geerlok - BS mastery 3
    regularly make GM gear without issue but i have just failed 7 chest symbols in a row , 3 different zones so i took the geerlok out and succeeded - any news on the BS mastery being bugged??

    no. no news of any bugs.

    However, I am beginning to believe that the RNG needs some sort of "warm up" period after a patch (which would be a bug) because we always get a few rants right after a patch that "I failed 5-6-7...20 times in a row! waaaaaah!"

    Skewed perspective or a real bug? I dunno...?

    Just to be safe I'm gonna do a few trivial combines of some sort before I do anything important, though.

    And wear a tinfoil hat.

          Well, when it starts with "Among a fringe community of paranoids, aluminum helmets serve as the protective measure of choice against invasive radio signals." you have to figure they're a bit biased.

            So why doesn't the RNG need a warm up period in the other direction, where it gives 5, 6 or 7 skill ups or successes on high trivial combines right after a patch?

            /sarcam off.
