I pharmed there for probably close to 40 hours back when I was skilling up. I knew which dropped them and did not and could almost clear all the spawns before repop. I averaged maybe a stack every 3 hours. I had times I clearings where I got no scales on more than one occasion. This isn't new. It's like my friend who's gone 500+ smithing combines without a skillup. It's just bad luck.

And I confirmed that this zone has not changed since 9/9/05... and that was probably no change, it is just that 100% of the zones are updated on expansion day, even if they have no changes to them.

and before that was before my time... so... I can't say if they did something before that.

It really looks like bad luck. It is still the most commonly dropped of the cultural items by a large majority.

I farmed there last night and picked up 22 scales in two hours. I've not noticed a change either.

Someone suggested above that a rogue can pickpocket scales, so I would check Ssra for vermin before you get upset at coming up dry on the first spawn.

Working on Grand master tradeskills For iksar.

Been killing stuf left and right and doing at least 120 + Isle drake class mobs.

But 0 fractured drakeclaws have droped. Drakewings ya, but 0 fractured drake claws related to the quest..


This MUST clearly be a bug. Because when completing Sebilis master quest BOTH mob count AND required item for tradeskill quest dropped.

Getting fractured drake claws from other zones has 0 effect on update.
Please fix, and make these drops available for quest updating from any drake class from any zone.

Have you tried the missions in lavastorm? Franctured drake claws drop there for sure.

You need to be in instance thunderstorm missions for them to count regardless. Creator works fine, and is still very popular.

Fractured claws are still dropping just fine in creator as recently as two nights ago (after the last patch).

I also blame bad luck in farming Tae Ew blood to rogues since those aren't magic either. Just don't keep your hopes up on your first clear of the mobs. As far as I'm concerned those mobs may have been up for days if not weeks which gives plenty of time for a rogue to come by and pickpocket them. I've never actually seen any rogue trying to pickpocket stuff while I'm killing them, and no doubt most of the time I'm sure the stuff isn't pickpocketed even on the first clear, but it's something to keep in mind.

Got all mine during creator missions. can also confirm that fractured claws that drop in lavaspinner missions did not count. well, for ogre gm task anyway.
