SOE seems to have it in for vendor-miners with DoD...I have no idea what merchants are paying folks who sell tradeskill stuff to them, but some prices they are asking just suck..

427pp for some other thing I can't remeber, bleh

Not sure what those specific items sell to vendors for, but I've found lots of items that sell to vendors in excess of 140p...some as high as 500p+.

I think SoE is tired of other people coming in a taking all their Skillups. You may not realize it, but global warming is having a devistating effect on worldwide Skillup harvests. They hardly have enough skillups left over to take home to their families. Poor Johnny's not gonna get any Skillups in his stocking at all this Christmas, and forget about little Suzie getting that Skillup to wear on Halloween.
We must understand rationing is hard on everyone, but we just have to pull together. And remember, if you take an extra skillup, it just means someone else is going to have to do without

        You must group!
        You must explore content!
You must roll for every TS tagged item!
Resistance is futile! You will follow the modified vision!

(BTW, www.wtfcomics.com is a cute statement on the vision if you've not seen it yet. )

actually... those do sell to the merchant for 10% less than what you said, so they sell well.

I think somoene decided to make the tradeskilling stuff ALSO the cash loot.

Plus, Bazu steel is for the slot 12 augments... 427PP is a PITANCE for what they are worth...

Look at it this way: incentive for players who don't want their drops to sell to vendors instead of destroying.

Granted... it's no 2pp for a Metallic Drake Scale, Glossy Drake Hide or Purescale Ore, but still... given that people like to overcharge massively for any new top end tradeskill items... 450pp is still a rather good deal.

Has it been brought up to the Dev's about increasing the amount of items a vendor can have? So much of their stock is trash that people sell to them that it eventually causes all of the items that could be vendor mined to be destroyed.
One OS to rule them all, One OS to find them,
One OS to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

                    Yup. they know.

THere is no 100% perfect solution, but what has been proposed is a First in First out, instead of Last in First out.

I.E. when the vendor is full, and a new item is added the oldest item is deleted.

instead of currently where the newest item (the one you just sold) is deleted.

It is NOT an option to keep track of everything sold to a vendor... just too much stuff... and it would take up too much system resources to have an "infinite" supply. they would be back to weekly restarts just for memory management instead of the monthly that they eventually get too (yes they patch often right after an expansion)

                      Uh...

How about some way to reset the Vendors?

The "HQ Ore Vendors" can be reset by doing the unrefined ore quests. Why not have a "Token Vendor" who you give a certain amount of Plat to and he gives you a Token. You give that Token to any Vendor and the Vendor automatically respawns.

Or, a "Buyer NPC" who wanders around and "buys out" individual vendors in some arbitrarily unusual order, resetting them after 1 week.
Example: Joe Buyer (the NPC) visits a vendor in PoK and "buys him out", then an hour later Joe Buyer visits a vendor in East Freeport and "buys him out"... and so-on.

Interesting idea... It may not be something that could be feasibly done on all vendors (too many in the world, it would just take too much time) But it is an idea for some of the more "popular" vendors.

Not commiting to anything here... I am on vacation this week and when I get back I amy be told I am a whacko !

Make all vendors level 44 with no faction hits.

Then wizard could zap them with Disintegrate.

Could help too if an extra flag was added to every item showing if it was a regularly available item on another vendor(unlimited stock type items). If you sold an item to a vendor with this flag, it would "poof" and not be available for resale. This would at least only allow vendors to sell back items to players that are only dropped or crafted.
