Cultural Charms!!

OK was at the pottery kiln and was looking up spirit stones and found the long looked for cultural charms, put "spirit" in the search and you will see a list of recipes for cultural charms, but the ingrediance are not listed on eqtraders or on alla...can anyone find where this quest starts?

It could be something similar to the newspaper recipes that were floating around a bit ago. It's not actually too rare to get weird stuff showing up in the combine containers that isn't intended to be there nor makable on the live servers.

If memory serves, someone was linking something called 'Grandmaster Erudite Charm' (this is definitely not the exact name so don't quote me) last night and claiming that, maxed, it was better than a maxed PoP charm. My guess would be that the link was obtained by link hacking though.

All very much wild speculation at this point.

Those class/race restrictions say clearly to me that this item is not ready for live yet

There's a whole list of them showing up in the kiln, with what looks like full recipes for actually make one, not firing one. They're broke down down into at least 3 levels (much like the don cultural augments). I only had a moment to look earlier.

Some of the components are things i've never seen before, so most likely this is a batch of stuff from the next expansion that accidently got sent to live (i know, that's never happened before..).

Those class/race restrictions say clearly to me that this item is not ready for live yet

Well...

The DoN Charms were "improves as you wear more visible (whatever) armour".

I'd assume that these, if/when they are implemented, will be the same... only for Cultural armour.

I hope the pre-GM ones will be moderately easy to make... otherwise they'll be very pointless and useless.

Looking at the Ingredients... this somehow made it into Live before the next Expansion release. Corathus is a zone for the next exp I believe..
so the large corathus fungus isn't available til Sept.
As such also.... even though these recipes somehow went live, they are covered by the NDA (non-disclosure agreement)

Actually, the NDA covers information that people in a non-open enviroment can release (like.. a closed beta). Sony released these recipes themselves, wether intentionally, or by the same mistake they make every expansion.

Given the naming similiarities and general mysteriousness of them, we're going to assume that these are intended for the next expansion. Unless someone can tell us where all of the ingredients for any of them are found on the Live servers, we're not going to add them to the database at this point.

Feel free to continue discussing, however. (Although folks in beta, you are still bound by the NDA when it comes to any info that isn't available on the Live servers.)
