Here's the direct link to the forums: http://www.eqcleric.com/forums/index.php?s=

They have instituted adds on the page to pay for the cost of the site, which is probably what you saw when you went there.

I suspect Brodder is talking about the original (and best) EQ Cleric site, Rayne's http://eqcleric.gameglow.com, which does appear to have gone awry. A direct link to the forum http://eqcleric.gameglow.com/forums/index.php fares no better. I *really* hope that all those posts haven't gone pof, that was 6 years of EQ history there ><

        Yeah Rayne's site. On Gameglow.

Looks like someone bought them out from under them...and took the name to grab EQ traffic from Rayne.
If they jumped his IP by buying it before he could renew that's ****ty as hell.
IF rayne sold it, there was absolutely no warning.

Raybe had said time and again he'd never sell his site, especially to the likes of IGE...and here stratics swooped in somehow.

I am a very angry person right now.

Looks like Flashlink is the culprit here.

The whois data hasn't changed recently so it's not a domain name expiry hijack. Odd.

Well that's odd. The Shaman's Crucible and the Ranger's Glade are both run by Sunmoon, so not surprising that they'd go down together. But at the same time as the others....

Both the Crucible and the Ranger's Glade had IGE advertising on them. Did the Gameglow Cleric boards and the Druid's Grove?

It's interesting. If you look on Flashlink's site list, they don't list any of these sites as being part of their network. I'm not willing to sign up for their 14 day trial because they require you to give them your credit card number, so I don't know if after you get into it, if you'll have access to those sites.

The other possibility is that they've been hacked.

We do not have contact information really for any of the other sites. So...; your guess is as good as ours

Rayne's eqcleric site is hosted by flashlink, but not part of the flashlink network. It was down 2 or 3 wkends ago, they got it back up. I dont remember the issue, somethiing with the servers I think, hopefully it will get back up soon, I miss it

Many phpBB users got hit by a worm the last day or two, could be that the forum was hit (and the owner took it down for upgrade/removal/damage control).

I did a little checking at the internet wayback site: http://www.archive.org/
but they didn't have anything indexed for 2004. The links might be a little troublesome depending on how they were put on the original html page.
