on test server they were now trivialed at 252. don't know if this is a bug or not, but sucks none the less.

any other ideas on how to skill up to 300 now?

                  Pissed Off!

I am NOT happy with this change at all. I could understand lower the trivial to 300 or even 285 but 252, for {pete's} sake that is BS lowering a trival by 83 points.

                    Pissed On!

That is what SOE just did to all of us tailors that are sitting on mountains of components for Soltice Robes and Velious items.

For God's sake, some notice should have been given or, as someone else mentioned, the trivials should have been lowered when DoN was launched.

                        /cry!

Hello, my name is Ajaa, and I am a tradeskill junkie. I'm not in a big raiding guild, but I've managed to get myself elemental flagged anyway just to support my tradeskills habit. I have always enjoyed the whole game, but tradeskills are my favorite part. Or they were until this morning. Got up to do another run of Solstice robes, and.......instead of four mules full of the components I need to get my skill, if not to 300, at least close, I have four mules full of extremely expensive junk. I'm not rich. I can't afford this. I resent that hundreds of hours of collecting and subcombining time have been wasted. I have never been a quitter. If I was, I'd never have gotten 250+ in every skill. But this took the wind out of my sails. I hope very much that Sony notices that this move has hurt a lot of their most avid tradeskillers and pleased nobody, and returns things to the way they were. I honestly can't think of another resolution that won't result in substantial losses to the tradeskilling community. I also agree with a poster on another thread that it seems particularly unfair that tailoring (already one of the hardest skills to raise) was hit so badly, with all of the reasonable routes to high end skills cut off. Please tell me that someone from Sony reads these boards and we have a chance! I really don't want to have to go start all over again in some other game!

OMG!! OMG!! They finally put that piece of JUNK Solstice robe at a trivial that more reflects its usability (earring kits are pretty much gone as there are fewer people coming into the game these days), rather than a skill up path. SoE does NOT have to notify anyone of upcoming changes. Changes do happen to the game, it used to tell you that, or something similar, on the screen after accepting the EULA. If you want to leave the game because they made some adjustments to the tailoring base from 250 and up, I'm sure they are gonna tell ya "Don't let the door hit ya in the rear on the way out". Has anyone verified, or confirmed with SoE that they aren't implementing other ways for skilling up past 250 in tailoring besides for PoP and GoD?? Have they changed some of the trivials for the DoN armour to compensate for this? Has anyone checked? YES, tailoring does suck. I will NEVER see 300 in it, I will be lucky if I try for 250, as there are more important things for me to spend my AA's on.

So, why don't we just wait and see what their intentions are with this trradeskill, instead of whining and complaining that "I spent sooo much time gathering the components, and am now just overfilled on mules with a ton of garbage." I see 2 options for you, sit and wait, because you never know what may or may not happen, or vendor the stuff off, recoup your plat, and make someone with a lower skill level extremely happy to get the chance to get to 252 that they may or may not have had before.

                            Realy the best thing can happen to EQ it's SOE leave it to someone {else}

Yes change trivial of trade skill can be understand but not that way, they have same comportement than player who train for get a camp...

The only thing where SOE is very good it's at saying "we are sorry".

I have like lot of people a huge stock for do later some robe. 150 Gem Studded Chain i have done for trying to do the 2 last skill up i miss for my jewelcraft that i didnt even got. And lot of silk. All this is now just good to be destroyed or slod very cheap. Thanks SOE and sure i know you are absolutly NOT sorry.

Other thing wow i have high skill like 300, very cool, but they made component so hard and rare than the skill are never used. I Cant play in MPG, etc, because i dont use guild for become someone. That mean anyway skill are for Raid Guild only... That was already true since PoP (like Elemental Bow) All TradeSkill Should be accessible by all kind of player. Ok set a required lvl by book quest or something else... But everyone Must be able to attempt it. That not the case...

And if you have ready until here. I think SOE set up skill at 300 it was more for remove HUGE ammount of platinium from server, like they have did with horse and casino... Now lot of player have spend 100k to 1.000k each. They probably think it's no need than more pp to be destroyed...

Anyway i think everyone agree, they MUST prevent BEFOR change thing, not AFTER.

It is not apparent how tailoring was in any way broken prior to this patch except to the extent that it was already the most difficult and expensive skill to improve.

Tradeskillers have every right to be concerned about the way the unanounced change effectively of wiped out many hundreds of hours of farming and many hundreds of thousands of plat that are represented by the community's cumulative supplies of unused components.

What we would like is to have these changes reversed. As soon as possible, not a couple weeks down the road at the next scheduled patch.

In the absence of such a reversal, what we need is an explanation from an official SOE representative of why this change was necessary and why it had to be implemented the way it was.

P.S. I have also posted these concerns at the SOE forums and through in-game feedback. No sign of any explanation or response anywhere so far.
