Jade Shard drop rate is an obscenity

the drop rate on jade shards is absolutely an obscenity - it shouldn't be this difficult to acquire a something needed for combines targeted at level 20 characters

i've been farming for 10 hours in various places on my 54 ranga - including 3 hours of vendor farming - and i have gotten ONE

honestly, i think ya would be better of exping a lvl 20 charecter for 10 hours and then just making expert augs /shrug

Check the merchants in Crystal Caverns, it's an uncommon drop there, and heavily farmed for the crystalline silks and velium.

Yea I when vendor trolling all over PoK found one on a troll vendor.
now for expert crafting you need Lambent stones and there easy to get off vendors and hill giants. the ratio of Jade shards vs Lambent stones is terrrible. I started working on my expert quest but try and kill 50 skels in a zone where 4 or 5 spawn all spread out, intermingled with things that will kill you dead.

lol, ever see a pile of gravel? It seems to me that the drops for these armors were just placed on a dartboard containing every possible non-quest drop out there. Send some /feedback.

My enchanter leveled up from 18 to 21 and saw 1 jade shard drop in paludal caves and netherbian lairs combined. 1 tradeskill drop per 3 levels is way too low. By at least an order of magnitude. Although I'm grateful that porous mineral blocks (brewing geerlok) now stack, but the leathery belts (fletching geerlock) are still unstackable.

It looks like the only way to gather parts for your level 20 characters is to have your level 65+ characters rampage through the zone. Sort of like the old joke about the quickest way to master tailoring by getting your necro to level 50 first.
