  • Tunare fletching?? Helloooooo SOE???

Just a gripe, rangers can be either Tunare or Karana, so why is there only one deity fletching path, for Karana?

Anyone heard of SOE looking at this for a possible "balanced" equivalent? It's nice that Karana worshipers can sit at a vendor and do arrows to 335 (sorry had trivial wrong), would be nice if Tunare worshipers could do the same.

Don't get me wrong, the idea of spending another 18hrs farming condensed shadow and acrylia excites me to no end (did I get enough sarcasim in there for ya?), it's my wife that's not exactly pleased, who also happens to worship Tunare =)

The alternative to dumping tons of plat on bows isn't an option right now either...

ps. It's possible I missed something some where, but I'm pretty sure I did look everywhere possible and haven't found a "vendor" arrow for Tunare (or any other deity than Karana) to GM fletching in. If I missed it, please let me know and I'll happily trot over and look at it promptly =)

Just went back and did some #s on the cost of combines, ok it's not a cheap option, but it's still an option, and it's still a 11/150 +3 Cold arrow, extra 25 range wouldn't hurt =)

Actually, there is Tunare, but only by Wood Elves. Look into Wood Elf Culteral Fletching on the recipe lists. All the crafted items (using imbued emeralds) are Tunare only.

In fact, these were in place long before the Karana options were added, and were a sore point with all the Karana rangers out there. The only gripe you can make about this is that the combines are restricted to a race, whereas the Karana combines are restricted to a certain deity...I think?

Don't know for sure. My ranger is a Wood elf. )

Check my arrow in my Magelo and look that up. Thats one of the Tunare arrows.
      Theres also Tunare bows.

But yea, you gotta use the Kelethin cultural forge for some smithing and thats wood elf only. Tho i think you can have someone else make the smithed parts and give em to you as theres no NO DROP stuff. The Karana stuff has that blasted Mark.

Except for that whole, combine must be done in Fier'Dal Fletching Kit, which only wood elves can use.

Personally, I thought that acrylia tipped were cheaper and easier than anything else from 215-250, despite the fact that I follow the Rainkeeper.

Cheaper, yes. Easier, yes. Faster? No.

Lots and lots of farming. Lots. And Lots more. And more. Lots more.

If the mobs are XP though, hey, great.

That's true, speed was not a consideration on my journey to 250. However, I often bought condensed shadow for 10pp or less, and occasioinally would find people selling acrylia for the same amount. It did cut down on the farming a bit, and wasn't very expensive.
