On the 17th of November, I was experiencing stomach pains and an extreme feeling of weakness. My friend drove me to the hospital, and they began performing some tests on me. They gave me some foul tasting dye to drink for the cat scan, and that is the last thing I remember until the 10th of December.
I had pancreatitus, a condition brought on by the high level of triglycerides. (cafeteria food at work did that to me). I had been on life support for the previous 3 weeks, has a 102.2 fever while in ice packs to cool me, pneumonia (which I think was brought on by the respirator) and a systemic infection. Afterwards, one of the doctors told me that they had only given me about a 10 percent chance to live - but nobody quit trying...
Fortunately, the medicine they used to keep me sedated kept me from me remembering the details of my stay.
Anyway, I doubt I will be ranting about anything anytime soon, it just feels too good to be back among the living.
