Grrr, stupid RNG and the 5th shawl!

Grrr, I just failed the combine for the 5th coldain prayer shawl. My skill is 189 with a geerlok.

The only good thing is that I had a great Velks group when I got my last few threads and kept looting them, so I have 43 left over to start again. Now I have to farm the stupid shard wurms again. That took about 10 hours the last time, definitely not looking forward to that again.

Oh well, I'm sure I will be much less angry about it tomorrow.

I just keep telling myself it will be worth it when I get the 8th shawl.

Bummer about the failure, hopefully you won't have too many more. (My wife is slowly... slowly... working on her's. She's nearly ready to do the combines for her 7th. Think she needs jewelcraft and the swordfish tooth still.) Best of luck.

Well, I got right back at it. The glowing worm biles only took about 5 hours this time.

Velks was a little stingy last night, I still need about 15 crystalline silk threads. Hopefully, I will give it another shot today.

Good luck, i know the pain of this.....

I failed my first 5th shawl and had to re-collect everything. Unfortunatly it was when they jumped up the level of the mobs in Velks so everything was deep red to me. I had to get a friend to farm them for me. Luckly for me, it was during a eriod when they were not NoDrop!

Mantle of Rebirth

Since I have more cash than play-time, I bought it.

Actually, look at the focus effect on the mantle of rebirth. That's a REALLY sweet focus, don't get me wrong, +25% to all heals (except Cheal) is VERY nice, but it isn't an uber extended enhancement to end all extended enhancements, which is on the 8th shawl. Other than that, yea the mantle of rebirth is definatly better in most grouping situations. Assuming you're level 70 and can kill the durn mob. or you just have that much cash.

What did that set you back, 100k? 200k? Boy, that thing makes ornate armor look like banded armor in comparison.

Lucky buy at only 80k... They're running ~125k now on Xegony.
