  • Skilling is Broken

    After 5+ hours farming stuff for shadowscream armor, I proceeded to waste 84 swirling shadows and 44 or more (had a couple fails making the orbs) substances I skilled up a grand total of ZERO times...

    I don't remember if succeeded on all the boot combines or failed one, so it's not a problem with fails having less chance of success.. My smith's int is 255, using geerlok hammer for skill of 241 with boots triv 248...

    6 hours of work for zero benefit is just completely unacceptable.

    Of course to top it off, I had a fail on a metal rings which is 201 points below my skill... I bugged that, but it was a nice touch to the evening...

    It's not broken, you just had a bad run.

      I said it above, but I will repeat it

      It looks like the "fail rate reduction" is based on REAL skill not ajusted skill.

          The title should say 'skillup design is broken"...

          I'm sure that the rng was just being it's typical hellish self, but the fact that that's normal and common is what is broken...
