Yesterday I was in the bazaar trying to find a new weapon for my gnome necro. another gnome comes up to me and says "if you summon my corpse in crushbone i will give you three baackpacks of fine plate breastplates" I hastely agreed to this and did with my just purchased leser summon corpse spell. He gives them to me and says if you sell them you can get about 1k and i do and buy new stuff for my gnome. afterwords when i think about it, it occurs to me that this is very odd. im boggled

Not terribly odd, I used to have people paying me for sows with fine plate You have a service to provide. He had excess stuff he needed to get rid of. He just skipped the step of selling the items and paying you in pp. Trust me, there has been times I'd pay a lot more for a corpse summon.

This person probably had all that Fine Steel Plate from smithing skillups (on the gnome or possibly another character) and decided to be nice to a fellow gnome and dispose of the FS at the same time.

Why he'd need a corpse summon in Crushbone of all places, I dunno, maybe the corpse was well and truly lost, hehe...

How do you lose a corpse in crushbone? It is such a small zone.

Most likely a bug. One of those where the corpse seems to disappear, can't be targetted even with targetting command and tracking it shows it in a place it isn't really in but is still listed as in the zone. I've heard more friends say they've lost their corpses in newbie zones on alts lately. Summons will usually fix this as it seems to be a location issue (that is the corpse just can't be accessed or seen in it's original location but a summon will reset that).

ok thanks everyone i just thought it was odd to pay that much money for a summon corpse spell and especially in crushbone but trust me i cant complain

Or he may have gotten the paladin epic 2.0 new critter in there cranky at him. Non-kos unless attacked from what I hear, to keep from mass slaughter of babies, but hits into the 900's.
