  • Discordant Scoriae Woes

Been killing all sorts of crap and yet to see this stuff drop anywhere for me. I hate this "has to be super rare" BS.

I'd just like to see some Slugworms make their way to the Bazaar...

I know it won't happen for a long time... but I can still dream, can't I?

saw a slugworm in bazaar once person wanted 100k for it ROFL

      10-12-04 bazaar slugworm update Terris-Thule
      4 folks with slugworms
      1- had 1 at 85k
      1- had 1 at 75k
      1 had 1 at 75k
      1 had 3 at 74,999.

It is a joke with the failure rate so high on the "minor" versions of the augments which these are used for it is crazy to think anyone would pay 75k for 1 piece to do one combine when there are still has 3 failure points to go before it is done.
      1) minor combine -- slugworms used here
      2) inlay combine
      3) pure combine

Let them make 'em into augs if they want people to pay 75k is what I say.

I've seen trean flies at 200 plat, 2000 plat, 75k plat. I bought two of the three... guess which?

I've seen dust of discord at 10k for about a week now.

I've not seen discordant scoraie anywhere.... guildmate gave me one (success) and someone sold me one for 20k cause they saw me advertising for one (failed smithing at max skill but w/o aa's).

Got slugworms once from a drop. Haven't seen any for sale.

Seen Apatite at 150k, Titanite at 100k, Tourmaline at 40k. Bought the Tourmaline. Got some Kyanite to drop for me. WOOT.

Plenty of flow stones in the 10k-50k range, and radiant cut flow stones in the 40k-50k range. All overpriced LOL. Got 3 mossflow stones to drop for me, won the roll on all three LOL.

The ONLY scoria I have seen was on a vendor for 4sp. Flies sell for about 12k each, and I lost the roll on the only one I've ever seen drop.

I have had 2 Discordant Scoriae.

1 for 2k in the bazaar.

            1 off a vendor.

1 failed on the Inlay, one succeeded. Now for the aug...

I started the expiditions in Dranik Scar the week after OoW's launch and I've done almost nothing *but* the expiditions since. I've seen one (1) Scoraie drop. And I play alot.

It's too rare. I understand that they made them rare for a reason, but it's just too rare.

And as has already been pointed out, not only is it rare, but if you are fortunate enough to get one, your chances of success on the subsequent combines are not pretty - to say the least.

So have I... quite a few 65-67 expeditions, a smattering of 68+ ones, a bit of farming in The Bloodfields, and a couple of nights in the ruined city.

I've seen one Scoraie, 3 Trean flies, 1 Slugworm, 1 Dust of Discord and several augments in the time it took me to farm all my level 66-68 spells, all my druid's level 68 spells, 6 of the FTII/regenII rings and 4 of the FTIII shields (for ourselves and alts).

I failed the combine on the Scoraie and have bought 2 slugworms in the bazaar. My friend and I had decided that making Dodge II augments for ourselves is the best augment route at the moment. There isn't any level restriction on the dodge effect, so it should work well even at level II. Not quite sure which spell casting focus I would go for... New focus items that we could probably get with a group of friends keep popping up and it would suck to make an augment for myself and loot an item that makes it obsolete the next day.

Theres a person in the bazaar right with 3 runes (66, 67, 68) marked 999999p (code for free or trade if you didnt know) and his AFK message says 'Only trading runes for Discordant Scoraie'

If i had one Scoraie and i had NONE of my 66-68 spells, i wouldnt trade it. Runes are NOT rare. They arent that hard to get. Scoraie is STUPID CRAZY NUTTY rare. Ive never had one. Ive never seen one drop. Ive never HEARD of one dropping. Ive never even seen a LINK to it.

I had one in my inventory so I tossed it on my trader for 40k - I giggled cause I thought I was being funny... then someone ran up and bought it within 10 minutes Um, okay. Sheesh.

FYI - I am just bitter because I can't make the augs myself.

Someone has figured out where they drop. I've done seven black gold inlay combines for one of my guildmates (4 for 7).

I bought 2 discordant scoriae in the baz for 50k a piece and failed both inlay combines. After that I decided to just sell any slugworms and scoriae I got my hands on for a decent price. I've sold lots of slugworms for 59-75k and some scoriae for 60-70k. I also sold 2 Radiant Cut Sodalites for 150k a piece. So far I've made about a million platinum from this expansion with *zero* farming. Nothing is more fun than making 200k a night while you sleep haha. Too bad people are catching on but I'm still the only supplier of 'pure' effect augs on the server. (Lanys T'vyl)

I found some slugworms on a vendor, stuck on bazaar mule for 25k and it sold within minutes =P

Sold a scoriae within 2 hours for 100k the other day. Now I think I have enough cash to get tailoring into AG range considering the combines I already have banked.
