    *grumbles*

    4 tries for my Smithing GM Trophy... (at 242 + Geerlok)

    20K spent!

    I know people have spent more than that, and failed more than that, but I can still grumble...

    left me with barely over 400PP in the bank! hehehe

    barely 400pp in the bank? *narrows eyes* *sticks tounge out* pfft!!!

    Except due to the extreme single kindness given to me by a particular friend and fellow tradeskill freak, i've never had anywhere close to 400pp in my bank. no complaining on that lol

      You're still young...

      Of course, the most I've ever had at one time (before buying stuff) was... 175kpp.

      Right now, I'm sitting at ~21kpp... but I can't buy anything that would be an actual upgrade for me.

        20k on 4 failures? that's quite painful. I dont remember how much I flushed down the toilet, but I had 7 attempts overall for 2 trophies (baking and brewing), took me 4 to get brewing and 3 for baking, each attempt was at 250 skill + geerlok.

          I got lucky with the only one I've tried and got it on the first try. Of course in the two months since the bazaar price for several of the gems has dropped over 80% It's a good thing too cause the most I have ever had in my bank was 10K and that was from a donation by a good friend. My current bank is sitting at 100PP.

            I guess this is the wrong time to mention that I made both my Trophies (one on each character) on the first tries...

              My fletcher has failed three times. My brewer hasn't tried, as I hate to waste multiple corking devices (being that they can be a pain to obtain). Since my baker is only 11 I just can't justify doing it for her, and my potter appears permanently stuck at 206 or so. /em hates tainted planer essences

                Yet another post why i continually preach that, in there present form, Trophies are worthless, pointless junk. They prove nothing about your skill.

                Buy Tink bags/Haversacks and 25 CHA mugs. Much cheaper. (and you can resell them when you dont need them any more, which you cant do with a trophy!)

                  It took me 8 attempts to get my baking trophy, after 3 or 4 it became something I was determined to do, and every time I raised the money, I had another go. I was also 250 + geerlock.

                  Now to master pottery.

                    I failed 3X at baking one yesterday, will prolly have another 3 tries today, sigh.
