A slight thread hijack...

Does anyone else think that the drop rates for Black Sapphires and Jacinths were increased recently? I stopped buying them last night after I had two stacks of each. It seemed like every other PoK vender had some in stock.

Jacinths and Black Sapphires are all over the vendors now. I used to try to keep at least 5 or 6 for Artisan Seals on demand, but now I can free up some space and just buy them as I need them.

Did an OoW expedition yesterday. Two Jacinths and two black sapphires dropped. This is only a small sample size, but it seems the drops are more frequent.

I've been finding 2-3 Jacinth a week in GE and finding them on vendors faster than my tiny bank can afford. I've also seen the price on most gems go down over 50%+ in the bazaar in the last two months. I know BD were going for around 500 and are now only a few pp above vendor purchase price. Diamonds are also just above purchase. Jacinth and BS that I checked the bazaar for 3 times daily for two weeks while saving for my artisan seal were running 1300PP each. Now they are 300 each.

I grabbed 7 Jacinth and 5 Black sapphires of a vendor that I was unloading on. I'd say that they are definately dropping more often if they're now being considered vendor fodder.

There is a new gem table in OoW, at least for mobs in Wall of Slaughter. The table is: Blue Diamond, Diamond, Jacinth, Black Sapphire, Ruby, Sapphire, Fire Emerald, Fire Opal, Opal, Emerald, Peridot, Malachite. Any one of these gems can drop with equal frequency, from what I saw. Given that WoS is currently camped by 60-100 people nearly around the clock, you're going to see a lot more of them on vendors.

For now, let us not forget that in LDoN gem drops were somewhat more plentiful at the start. I'm more than a little distrustful of post-expansion drop rates. But it will be a long time until I can't find some use for blue diamonds, so I'm happy.

AoN's sell for 750k in the bazaar on our server. They're VERY useful in pvp.

Today's steal - while I had a vendor's inventory open someone sold him 2 obsidianwood saps.

AoN off of a vendor? O... M... G... Where was I when that vendor was selling it? /cry! I would have been a nervous wreck while running to the bank to put mine in the shared bank slot, than running back to the vendor to drop a paltry 600pp for it. Poor sap must have confused it with the worthless Marr necklaces from HoH.

Since OoW released, I have come across 3-4 Discordant Scoriaes (2 in the same day), Dusts of Discord, Trean Flies, Slugworm, Highly Polished Gems, Magnetized BPs and the like, Liquidified Earths, 2 Bazu Hearts, Lightening Core, OoW Prinstine Hides and Bloods galore, etc, etc. Bunch of OoW quest armor components, too. I take vendordiving very seriously... I even go to the Erudin Palace to check sometimes. =D

Picked up some murkglider and feran hides yesterday, plus 5 x balls of elemental clay for necro epic, trean flies, cracked magnetised bracer, 2 x severed feran tentacles. I just wish they would bring rotating stock in

Whoa... no scheduled vendor resets until December.

My cleric has some some recent excellent finds... an Ivory Skull, which was used to make a Helm Of Nocturnal Phantasms (Mana Preservation III) for him. A Liquefied Earth, which was used to make him a Ceramic Totem Of The Rathe (Improved Healing IV), and An Elemental Stone, which was used to make a Steel Ring Of Earthen Resilience.

He's also thanking whoever sold two Runed Sea Shells (for 7th Coldain Shawl quest) to a vendor.

Naturally these finds occurred during the days shortly after the last patch, so I'm really hoping SOE will reverse the order of excess item destruction on vendors soon.

Ok, dying is not so bad.

We kinda had a little wipe on an ikkitz raid, so while im naked and doin nothing i hit vendors in pok. (We had a patch on test a couple hours before).
