  • Failure making artisan seal => Cruel and Unusual Punishment

    (This is a primal scream)

So I came across a Jacinth, which suddenly are hard to get, and I started to make an Artisan Seal for my chanter who is about to need it.

I failed the combine on the unfired seal. The trivial on that is like 16, and I have an adjusted pottery skill of 193! IT'S NOT FAIR! 3000 Plat in supplies, and two hard to find gems, vanish into the mists of Thurgadin.

Considering the failure rate on the trophy itself, being able to fail making the seal sure seems like cruel and unusual punishment.

Thank you for listening. I'm going to sit in the corner now and remove my brains with my baker's spoon. It won't take long.

terribly sorry...i would help you out but I just used my last jacinth making a seal for a friend of mine=(

I will keep my eyes open for more jacinths...I normally just get them and make them into seals and stash them in the bank...

      I guess it worked out.

Although the foul RNG cheated me out of one artisan seal, I scrounged enough parts for a second (I turned in some ulthork tusks and got lucky).

And when my chanter got to 240 brewing, he took that seal, got a corking device, got a geerlok, and made the trophy on the first attempt!

The RNG gives, and the RNG takes away, and once in a while it forgets the score and gives more than it takes away. I'll take it. I'm sure it won't happen again.

        First attempt, OUCH!

        Second attempt - Gratz!

That's not a bad rate, I've failed on 3 spoons in a row (I swear, there is no spoon!).

Hark! Who is that, prowling along the fields! It is Draggar De'VIr, hands clutching two hardened pitas! He cries gutterally: "In the name of Thor the Mighty, I hereby void your warranty, and send you back to God!!!"
