  • Everyone in Qvic = grandmaster TSer

Apparently the quest combine you need to do to make the Qvic (post PoTime level) armor set is a skill restricted one

Those are all trivial 15 but its a skill restricted combine, not sure what the restriction is. I can do it at 250 with no mod, XXXXX could not at 178.
Since the armor is very plentiful in there, and superior to anything in the game, I would expect everyone entering the zone to PL either smithing or tailoring in order to make their armor. Note this is a different combine from making the actual sheets, which are droppable and a much higher skill check level (will check it later)

VERY poor design from SoE in my opinion, forcing those who didn't power tradeskills for Grimel to do so for this armor. Basically making everyone in your local uberguild into a granmaster in at least one tradeskill.

Are you 100% sure? Verified it personally?

As far as I know the GM tradeskill parts of the GoD armor quests are dropable just like in the PoP version.

Bah, checked it and they were wrong. It's the tradeable SHEETS only that are skill restricted. The final combine seems to be nofail, no TS needed.

      Ignore me.

There were a couple goals that I wanted to accomplish with these armor quests when they were implemented.
        • Require a master tradeskiller (smith and tailoring if I recall correctly) at some point in the quest.
        • Not require the person doing the quest to be a master tradeskiller.
        • Create some, albeit small, marketability for you guys.

I've definately accomplished the first two, with the third remaining to be seen yet, since people have just gotten into the areas where these quests can start to be completed.

So, youre suggesting that the 250 smiths SELL the sheets of metal to their GUILDMATES who have been busting their buns for months to get to Qvic and the nifty armor therein?

You know how fast they would get deguilded if they even thought about that?

            No marketability.

Well obviously components acquired while raiding will be guild property...but isn't it possible to get some of these components while grouping (like in the trials/expeditions ?)

Anyways, let's wait and see, k?

I've managed to find 2 meldstones on vendors. IF I was 250 in smithing (207 currently), I bet I could sell the sheets or such pretty well.
