Um... given what happened in SWG I would be... highly... displeased with any implementation of a /tip command while Mr. Scotto was still in command of the Customer Service department.

(In case you missed it, someone dup'ed a bunch of money. Then gave it away. Some of the money was given by a /tip command where the tip-ee could not refuse the money. The duper was suspended for a week. The people he GAVE money to... were BANNED. And then the Customer Service Reps went DOWNHILL from there in their response to the fiasco.)

As far as I know, that was and always has been the official policy for EQ, too (though I can't find a mention on the site, naturally /sigh) - if you have duped plat, even if you got it in a honorable transaction umpteen steps down the line, you're still liable. Being unable to refuse it would make it harder, but really, how are you going to know if the person paying you 30pp for KEI, 150k for a Narandi's Helm, or other normal-price-for-item is paying you in duped plat or legit plat anyhow?

I'm a barb rogue. Normally I have 2 mean-looking daggers in my hands. But following a visit to Sleeper's, I was the owner of a prismatic spear. I equipped it in PoK as we were breaking for the night, and my guildmate was still grouped with me...

Guildmate tells the party, 'Dude, you look almost like a shammy. Hold on, lemme get something from the bank.'

(he runs in and grabs a cheap shield, I think it was sarnak battle shield, I forget. I equip it.)

Guildmate tells the party, 'NOW you look like a shammy.'
You tell the party, 'Watch this.'
Shilling winces.

Shilling begins to cast a spell.
Shilling is surrounded by a brief lupine aura.

(Now, I was merely doing /em winces, then I clicked my blood orchid katana for SoW...someone must've been in earshot...I mean we were in front of PoK bank, but...)

LOL i remember seeing something funny while my boyfriend was AFK in Neriak, he was sitting in the bank with the AFK message on and some guy hails him..obviously no reply after a few hails the guy starts sending tells,
"can you help me?"
AFK message
"where is ____?
AFK message
"Dude c'mon where is ____?
AFK message
And so on and so forth for a few more tells, by this time I've sat down to see how long this kid would go on for, pretty soon he's pissed
"WTF why won't you just help me find ___?

I think there was a few more nasty tells before he gave up finally, but I had great time seeing him freak out

Ugh.

It's got to be "can u pl me plz?" or "can u buff me plz" or simply "pl plz" or "buffs plz".

The worst however, was a cleric who, after asking me for SoW, and I gave her not only that, but skin, thorns, regen, MR, etc (as I usually do) she not only failed to donate, or thank me, but to go on a 15 minute tangent about how druids suck.

And now complains to my guild leader that I'm ignoring her.

I'm willing to throw the occasional buff at people who don't ask for it, but now anyone who asks for buffs is almost instantly told "No."
