Just ranting here.
I spent an hour or more cut and pasting things from the main site into a thread I created in the Smithing Forum.
I was really shocked when I came to browse through the main site AND the boards that it took me SO many tries using the search engine to get all the necessary information together just so I could have it all in one tidy package. Even as a long time tradeskiller, there were things I didn't know about making PoP armor. Things that weren't readily apparent from viewing the main site, that took many many clicks to find the answers to.
So I wrote up a text only, nothing fancy thread that contained all the information for making Night Terror chain. A one-stop shopping reference list for EVERYTHING. It had no links to a big page where you'd have to stop and search for what you were looking for. It didn't have any rude comments. Purely an informational thread that gathered data from the main site into one location for those seeking to make Night Terror Chain.
I come back a few hours later to USE the same thread I created to find it gone. Deleted.
All my time completely wasted.
I've been coming here for a LONG time. I've sent a few e-mails back and forth to Niami & Ngreth back way before we were deluged with newbie tradeskillers and skilling up was only for those who were OCD or insane.
I was rather hurt to see the post poof hours after creation. I don't think I broke any rules. I credited the main site in my post as the source of the information, even though the boards are owned by the same people.
Oh, well. Merry Xmas.
