Uh, Taelosian Wheat isn't foraged. It's a mob drop.

It's both, that's a lesson they learned. Unfortunately, it's as rare or rarer a mob drop as a forage.

And droppable in zones that you pretty much need to be elemental equipped to have a chance in, from what I understand. Not going to be able to survive in there for a LONG time

I've seen wheat drop off of every mob in natimbi that doesnt live in the water. Best way to farm TS stuff there imo is to get a few friends together, pick a spot, and just slaughter everything in sight. Only the rares will give you any real trouble. Spend a few hours doing that and you will be surprised what drops.

I couldn't agree more Sulkano... Natimbi is by far the best GoD zone I've ever visited (ok, the only one)... but as long as you have a decent group, the rewards in that zone are amazing.

As for RvR... it's a double edged sword. Some of the stuff seems VERY nice for the risk involved, the gold nihilite earrings, some of the mid/high-range smithed weaponry. As for some tradeskills *cough*tailoring*cough* both the lower and higher level versions are somewhat lacking.

We will be happy when we can make windblades out of 2 bricks of ore that are very rare drops off of full/balanced 65/150+aa group mobs or raid mobs, and the flask of water involves many hours of faction work and must be made with another tradeskill like brewing, with very high skill or required skill.

and I expect the Great Sword to be just as good

sucking money OUT of the economy is a GOOD THING, as if there's less money, people can't charge the exorbitant prices on stuff you might want, and people discount in order to gain more cash. Discounted prices mean more buying and a better market overall.

A lot of the arguments seem to be based on people's ignorance of what's actually out there... give it a chance, give it some time... you don't have to be the ones out there discovering and hoping for the best, but whining and complaining about everything isn't going to help anything. Come up with some constructive criticizing arguments that comparatively analyze what's wrong, and you'll find that the devs that visit here might be impressed and look into it.

discuss the problems between the Pale and Shimmering jewelry, discuss the RvR for the upgrades in Taelosian Teas, or even their durations. But bashing the "entire" expansion for what you really have not experienced fully is a bit over the top.

The problem people are having with the trade skill pieces that GoD allows us to make is WHO IS GONNA USE/WEAR it at the level you have to be to get into the zone to get the components?

When velous came out, folks that were making the items were wearing them. In POP folks making the items are wearing them. In GoD anyone that can get the components to make the item sure as you know what has better gear then that and will never ever wear the item.

Risk vs Reward in GoD there is risk BUT no reward since the stuff being made from there is less then twink crap.

Most armor is going to be useful because an increase in your groups overall mitigation is trivial compared to increasing your groups DPS. Look at most LDoN adventures, where secondary healers are usually replaced by DPS classes.

There were 8 Velium Inlaid Claws in the bazaar at one point, soon after GoD was released. Releasing weapons that would be USABLE by people in these zones would mean creating DROPPABLE Time/Elemental weaponry.

IMHO, they created a decent skill-up path, without creating a totally useless product, like the deathsteel and fireforged weaponry.

Like I said, if you have reasons to discuss particular problems with the GoD crafted items, feel free to discuss them. But bashing the entire expansion and tradeskill set because you don't think the RvR is worth it isn't going to help anybody fix it.

Besides, you do realize that the Velium Gemmed Greatsword is the highest droppable DPS 2-hander available?
