    playing under win2k

I have a p2-333 with 384 mb ram and a rage 128 all in wonder 32mb running win2k(I don't meet the old minimum requirements). I had no problems logging in or having long load time, lag is bad but I expect that.

      Regarding the XP Windows:
My first PC had windows 98 on it (HP pc). I had nothing but problems. Finally broke down and got a new pc when Luclin came out. (HP video card was out of date). At first glance I hated XP. the set up. The look. the feel, the settings. It took me awhile to really get used to it. Now that I am, I really like it. Would I go back to using 98? hmm.. sure, if I had too. Otherwise /melinia hugs her XP.
My mom has Windows Me on hers. I dread it when she calls me to do her "tech" support. But, Love my mom so I do it anyway.

My Cousin updates my Aunt's computer all the freaking time, and it annoys the heck out of her.

I don't let him near my 'puter, unless it's an emergency situation.

I would assume that the 12MB you quoted for your computer is a typo, Daggar? If not, then you really need to get at least 64MB...

I miss being able to climb trees, then summon my Horse for funny screenshots though.

Heh, it told me to get some updated drivers too...

And I told it where to stick those updates!

I never, ever, ever update video drivers unless something funky happens. I did that once, and had the same problem you had. Everything was screwed up.

Good luck everyone, on making your machines work with these new patches!

That would explain it with all the new models!

It's 512 MB Ram. (Even though the board specs said it would support 256MB Dimms, it can't, so I had to settle for 4X128).

No more walking over tables, no more extra climbing ability for my wood elf, no more climbing trees and walking on the leaves...
