Heh, cost of living in Gainesville is just nuts, I lived on about seven grand a year in college, and did so relatively comfortably. I probably couldn't do it now, one grows accustomed to the finer things in life (like food that costs more than 50 cents a pound, and not living in a four room apartment with three other people), but it's certainly possible.
