    Zero!

I finally got away from the bug...and suprisingly don't even have the urge anymore, other than the occasional want to log in and chat a bit. I can still do that on message boards though

      I spend 2-4 hours, 4-5 days a week.

Sometimes less than that. Sometimes it's hunting, sometimes it's nothing but trades. *shrug*

Usually a couple extra hours on a Saturday.

Not a ton, but enough to GM a couple skills, and working on a couple more.

        *waves at a fellow Tholuxer*

I'll tell you exactly why I am NOT like these others

        My play times:

Weekdays. Get home form work, cook and eat dinner with the wife. Watch a bit of TV. If I'm lucky (and there is nothing I like to watch on TV) my wife 'allows' me to go play at 8pm, if not I go turn on the computer at 10:30

When I play at 8, I either try to find an LDoN group or see what my little guild is up to (usually not much). If nothing is going on I'll play a baby alt. I may even go to another server and play an alt just to get their newbie armor.

If playing late, I would probably just solo a bit then go to bed.

        On Weekends:

Get up early and play.. 6am. Get on, noone much around doing LDoNs and stuff so back to the alts. Play a few hours until the wife wants to do something.

        Thats it..

Yeah.. 53 Mage and 40 Cleric (after some extensive effort in LDONs).. No tradesklls to speak of.. (Well some are in the uber 40's hehe)

        Feel better?

            Quantitatively: maybe 4 - 5 hours a day, 4 to 6 days a week.

Qualitatively: maybe more than is stricktly healthy for real life, while not playing anywhere near enough to get done what I might want to in game (trade skills, last couple EP flags, tons of AAs, etc.)

I play a ton, I'm on every single day and put in 4-6+ hours during the work week. (Also belonging to a major Raiding Guild) More on the Weekends. I work a full time job and have a Husband and Son. And I've been doing this since November '99.

Having a stubborn personality (or is that addictively insane) once I have a goal, I don't stop until it is done. Thus, Tradeskills is my passion. I've stayed up very late more times than I can count farming supplies or doing endless clicking just to get those last few skill-ups. Would come home for Lunch just to see if anybody in the Bazaar had components for sale. Well you get the picture.

Although, I must say that I get my arse to work on time Monday thru Friday. And, I *make* the time to be with my family. Including cooking Dinners, doing the Laundry etc. You know Family Schtuff.

How I do it, honestly I don't know. Guess that is why I am suffering for TS Burnout. I haven't finished up Smithing since doing my last click in October. But now with the new UI, you betcha that it'll get done...

I had been a casual gamer when I was employed 4 hours a night, unless Law & Order wasn't a rerun then it was less.

But when I moved to Germany, I couldn't get a job. So, sadly, EQ is my life right now. I'm on at least 12 hours a day. Although at least a third of that is sitting and talking with friends, networking ideas for a small business and being afk while making dinner.

I'm fortunate my other half plays EQ (it's how we met 2 years ago). My daughter did play EQ at one time, now she plays the Sims Online. So our family is an internet family. But we still sit down together nightly at the table and enjoy dinner together. We see a movie weekly. Every several weeks, we go to the warm bath spas in the area.

I have always been a pack rat in RL as well as EQ. When I started over on Stromm, I knew I wanted to get to 1750. Having done baking with a not so wise monk, I learned what tricks were needed to make the process easier and what skill routes to use.

Right now, I'm lucky we have enchanted velium bits, otherwise, I would have quit smithing long ago. As it is, I took a 2 week break on farming velium because it just bored me to tears. 3 hours a day for may 20 -30 attemps. And I need velium for EVT, for rings (human cultural) and for my bf's tailoring (velium studs).

And yes there have been those hell runs of 100+ with no skill up . I warn every new tradeskiller, you WILL get at least 1 run of 100+ attempts without a skillup. I hope I'm wrong, but if I'm right they wont' be disappointed (well they will but at least they have been forewarned).

And those times when you go through the streak you just had, take a break. Because at least for me, I get so frustrated, I want to pound the screen and shake SOE and the RNG. But instead, I log on an alt that needs swimming practice or, log and read a book.

Skilling up is a matter of being efficient in what you are making - I only attempt robes when I have 100+ attempts. With EVTs, after each session. So know what your limits are and stop. Better to enjoy what you are doing than be so frustrated you quit.
