  • AAARGGG!!! Back to velks and GD

    Farmed 5 glowing biles,
    Farmed 75 threads from velks,
Did crystalline silk combines to 122,
Did sacred tunare silk combines to 135,
Put all my hard work into the tailoring kit,
"You have created an alternate item."
    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH HH!!!!!
Failed the dumb 115 trivial with 135 skill CURSE YOU RNG!!!!!
Back to the childishness of velks and the bitter rare pain of more biles. We now return you to your regularly programed non screaming programing.

Sorry I can't feel too much pity for you, read my post of a similar nature.

But yes, it is frustrating failing these combines which are triv.

    I HATE THE RNG!

most annoying is when you fail something low like an ore conversion and can't finish a nice neat run but have 1 of everything left. i do lots of runs of stuff i've collected to make room for more stuff. that annoys me no end. spend another hour trying to get one fish or drop to finish the run then because it knows you want it.

shawl combine fails hurt worse but aren't the same degree of annoyying. saves that for re-farming.

Losses like that are never trivial. We've all had them. You definitely have my sympathies.

Lost my 5th first time round with a skill of 118. Worked up to 132 before trying again.

My sympathies too. Thats a whole lot of work and time down the drain seems like. Just remember that item you will get in the end I am just now starting to collect my threads for the 5th shawl and if I fail I think I may cry...we'll see

Good luck on your next one tho!!

Losing about 1000PP of Blue Diamonds to trivial combine failures isn't all that great, either (my experience, anyway). Personally, I wish there was an AA that reduced and eventually eliminated that annoying trivial failure chance.

I failed the combine of the 6th shawl 3 times, twice on the shawl and once on the spool!

The spool was so trivial it wasn't funny (my skill was at 165)! That nearly broke me that day!

My skill for the 6th was 165, ended at 166 after 6 tries. Never failed the subcombine but hated the wolves and Sirens afterwards.

I just took note that the trial is noted at over 200, so expected to fail a few times. Even had 2 spare Siren hairs and Manticore manes expecting a 7th attempt.

I've posted elsewhere around here what my shawl combine experiences were like, won't repeat it again, too many people probably hate me for it as is.

I failed my 6th with tailoring of 199. (I'm trying to GM it.) thankfully, I discovered how well charming the Drakkel Dire Wolf works on young shardwurms, or I would have lost my mind.

Failing on the shawls builds character.

The next one is fun, you will love to hate dire wolfs, sirens and manticors as well as frost giants

I'm lucky. I did fail a single combine no shawls 3 through 5. Did the 5th shawl with a skill of 99, and it put me up to 100. Paying for it on the 6th shawl though. 0/3 so far.
