Liquid Velium, easy enough to get.
Cutlassfish oil, slightly harder but no real risk
Royal Kromrif Blood, err, from highish lvl mobs in Kael right? not easily soloable.

Brewing combine for the 7th Shawl, 162 trivial.

I have a 250 skill in brewing, and a trophy to go with it.

I FAILED TWICE IN A ROW?!?!?!?

Had everything else I needed for the 7th Shawl, all in the containers ready. After the first failure, I had enough fish for a 2nd attempt luckily enough, asked a friend and he happened to have a spare blood, great I thought. Waited for him to finish a LDoN and then did the combine...

Now I don't have a clue where I can get another Kromrif Blood unless I get a nice little force into Kael

Find a friendly SoS rogue to go pickpocket it for you.

(Yes, it's possible to pickpocket the Royal Kromrif Blood. )

Yep, did that way back when i was working the shawl.

I simply did what any red blooded fantasy character would do... hire a rog to steal it.

Pardon my acronym impairedness, but..."SOS rogue"? Is this a tool, a faction, or just a nickname for a rogue answering a distress call?
(Once explained it will of course be BLINDINGLY obvious...)

SOS = shroud of stealth, rogue AA that lets them hide from even see-invis creatures and thus pick the pockets of nearly any mob in the game. (with lvl restrictions of course)

When I remade my 7th shawl, I had a SOS, giant KOS rogue get the blood...he did it, no problem, though he said it was very exciting =)

Anyway, yeah, pickpocketing is the way to go...I used to port a rogue friend of mine to WL every other day so he could go pickpocket blood to sell...

Had a couple of friends help me kill the giants and had 2 blood, thankfully only needed one this time.

How have 9 padding and 2 spare fur, enough velium fo rthe rings, 20 sheets of velium and the RNG against me.... but I am getting closer.

I think the Red Cross should hire SoS rogues when their stockpile of blood gets low, and just have em steal peoples blood.

I know that pickpocket is a skill, and was deliberately put into the game by Verant/SOE for a reason, but pickpocketing valuable loot from mobs just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Pity the poor mid-level group that fights their way to the mob to help out their friend and manages to kill the giant, only to find no blood on him. Since it is a semi-rare drop anyway, it seems unfair to be able to steal loot that other people worked for.

Imagine getting a raid together to kill Vox only to find that the corpse was empty when she fell. A lot of people would be annoyed. (Yes, I know that they changed a lot of her loot to be Magic for just this reason).

Yeah, it is fair game, as the giant is not engaged. And the rogue could get around any rule by attacking the giant, picking his pocket, and then escaping. Still, it just seems wrong to steal the loot from a mob and leave the mob up.
