Beware, the Othmirs are taking over (image heavy)

I have said it for years, the Othmirs are EVIL, and are planning to take over the world. But only now did i finally find the proof, and the scale, of this horrible plan.
The othmirs are working hard to take over the Plane of Knowledge and make us all their slaves.

Just look at all the proof. First they planted one of their spies in the Plane of Knowledge Library. Even i was fooled by their evil plan, and thought they were trying to get along with the rest of the races in Norrath.



After that, they have secretly been replacing the people in Plane of Knowledge with their own agents.



But not only that, they have also been taking over the guards, i fear they will soon try to take over the plane itself.
When they have taken over the rest of the guards, whos left to stop their horrible plan?



And not only that, but they have managed to get followers from the other people in PoK, and have actually managed to corrupt people from several guilds. Here Guardian Jerbabi are leading Jorree from Ancient Eternals to a secret meeting.



But the worst have yet to come. The horrible beasts have found a way to make fine players into the horrible othmirs.

They have already gotten Krythky, and hes been trying hard to convince others to follow his course. Here he is in front of the PoK bank trying to spread the othmir lies around.

And the worst of it, it seems like hes succeeding, here is proof that he managed to get people like Rells from PD interested in the unmenitonable.



If afraid that he got Rells over on their side, i noticed that he taught him a some wierd hand signs, i fear that this will be the way the Othmir Followers will communicate to fool the rest of us.
Here is proof of the terrible traitor Krythky teaching Rells the sign language, notice how he use his staff aligned with his hand to tell some secret message.



Unfortunately at this time, the horrible othmir traitor found out that i was onto him, and he tried to Feign Death to loose my attention.
Luckily i am a seasoned Othmir hunter, or i would not have seen through his cheap trick.



Just look how he totally fools the people that surround him. Either theyre all fooled, or some of them might be Othmir symphaticers, who knows, they could be more popular than we fear in our wildest nightmares.



A brave DE named Vilnayr saw though the evil Krythkys feight death too, and tried to slay him, but the evil othmir got the better of him. Unfortunately i dont have pictures of the fight itself, because Krythky tried to kill me too, but i managed to run away.
But i do have pictures of Vilnayr valliantly charging Krythky.



After he had clain the poor Vilnayr, Krythky reported back to his superiour, Guardian Jerbabi.
His vile Feight Death trick still seems to work, because noone noticed how he managed to pass a message on to Jerbabi while he was lying there.
Just look, heres pictures just before the meeting took place.



After the message had been delivered, Guardian Jerbabi went on to report to his superiors, god only knows who else are involved in this plot.
We must all stand together to stop this evil othmir plan. I call to all druids, wizards and necromancers, all head to Cobalt Scar, and rid Norrath of this Menace, once and for all. If we dont, more of the vile beasts might head to Luclin or the Planes. If they spread there, we might all be doomed.



But worst of all, not only the othmirs have these horrible plans of taking over the world, the fairies have the same ambitions, although theyre not as far advanced as the othmirs, they only got 1 person in PoK so far.

You're not on Test, or else I would have guessed that they finally fixed the Illusionoppleganger spell, and you can project illusion.

GMs can cast illusions like that. We had an event where you'd hail a GM and get turned into a faerie dragon. Was sort of fun. We've had othmir outbreaks, and other weirder stuff.

All this is from the last Halloween, where the GMs turned most all the NPCs and some players into various creatures.
Had great fun with Krythky, threatening to skin him.

Have asked a few random guides i seen since, to turn me into an othmir, but no lucky so far.

Far as I could tell, all the GM's were invisible during this event.

I got to be a floating eyeball. =)

Krythky, who is featured here in all his furry glory, refused to leave PoK or log out for three days after this event just so he could keep the illusion and mess with the minds of folks who weren't on during Halloweeen. It was quite amusing to see a "dead" otter flopped outside the PoK bank as people run past, stop, turn around, and stare at him.

I'm not sure that a GM can turn you into an Othmir in any zone where Othmirs don't exist. However, there is normally one Othmir vendor in PoK, so that's why it works there.

The evidence doesn't necessarily support that. A number of players and NPC's were turned into fairy or pixie models (you can see the feet of one player hovering near the bank in the shots above, and of course there's that NPC vendor). Others got turned into gnolls (again, you can see a gnoll Guardian in one of the shots). To my knowledge, neither model is normally found in PoK. There were several other mob models that don't normally exist in PoK either, but I can't recall them off-hand. I'll go through the screenshots I took later on and see if I can post the relevant ones.

I think its more of a question of whether its in the zone's models, than if its actually used in the zone. Without messing with the PoK local models file and the global file(s), knowing what's actually available is rather hard.

Plus with the revamp/invasion of Innothule/Grobb, they added the ability to load a model from another zone (with a text file defining the model's source). There may be some more dynamic form of that, where they loaded in a plethora of extra models for the instances of PoK that were planned to run through Halloween night, and somehow communicated to the clients "this zone uses these extra models", but without the permanence of the text file, thus allowing the zone to return to "normal" after the next crash/reset with no explicit patching to the client.
