needed greyhopper hides for tailoring after i greened the greyhoppers out. went back and agreed to help a group in exchange for their hopper drops. i pulled from farther away than them and quadded them while they stayed hunting where they were. i was cc and insta kill when they got overpulls and i was medding. pharmers will have probs sharing but if you can take what they can't and are nice and /asist them people normally dont mind.

edit see if you can group for xp with them. green to you so they get all the xp. someone might as well get it. you ae the tunnels and they love you.

Actually, yes. I have gone into CC on occasion and have left because there were lower level groups there doing what I wanted to do. No big deal to do it.
No, reading it wrong. I'm in CC farming by myself first. You show up and say, hey get out because I'm gonna xp. To which I would say either we share the spawns (and I'll give you as many as you can kill) or you leave because I was here first.

I'm not leaving somewhere just because you can xp on them. But I will share them.

Many, many times when I got to ToFS, there was somebody already farming the 5th floor. Usually I just buff them, say GL! and leave. =)

First off, If I was able to get exp killing the miners, and I showed up in CC and a level 65 person was there farming, I would politely ask them if they would be willing to share so that I may also get some exp and velium at the same time. To which, I would probably wind up leaving as the level 65 would run off killing everything in sight leaving no spawns for me as I would not be able to kill one. (This is generalization, I know some 65 toons that are polite, but, I have had a similar exp in EC killing spiders for exp and silk when I was much younger.)

Second, I was already there, when said person came in and just started clearing the area I was doing without so much as asking anyone in the zone what area they were killing in so as to avoid KSing. Where is the courtesy in that?

            thats fine but

Wizards and druids can make for unhappy farming when your a warrior. Ever zone into lower guk to farm fine steel weapons and have a wizard running around pulling and killing THE ZONE with his bard freind......lowsy wiz....OH I'LL JUST HAVE MY BARD FREIND RUN FIGURE EIGHTS AROUND LOWER GUK WITH HIS DAMAGE SONG UP STOPPING ONCE IN A WHILE IN THE ROOM I AM IN SO I CAN DROP A METOR ON 20 MOBS AT A TIME.

Or have you ever zoned into GD and found that every giant in the zone is standing perfectly still why? BECAUSE MR.65 DRUID HAS DECIDED HE IS GONNA FACTION COV TODAY AND HAS SNARED AND DOTTED EVERYTHING IN SIGHT. You run around and try to find just one that you can kill but oops he's dotted and snared.

I have no sympathy for casters who complain some stole there mob. Try playing a warrior someday. Okay I am done now but the next time someone complains that all the other classes didn't get treated as well as pure mellee classes in the last expansion I am gonna scream.

Can't say as I have ever been to lguk. When I did need/want fs weapons for smithing, I went to RM and just offered 4 -6 plat per and I got more than I needed.

There are giants in EW also, and I believe that they are a lower level. At least that's where I went to work on my lowly CoV and Thurg faction.

I do have a warrior. Took it to level 30ish. But, that was a while ago. I have never farmed with her. I only did groups. I made her to take a small break from my druid, to be able to hack and slash stuff. With the new diciplines, I don't think I will be bringing her out to play anytime soon.

Vant, you must have been in Guk the night I wandered through...and left becouse I couldn't find anything standing. The anon duo(guessing Wizzy and Bard) had cleared everything from Sage/Cav/Ex to Frenzy and on to the Lord: that is, one of my level 15 toons could have walked, visible, down the stairs, down the corridors, and sat on the throne of the Lord.

Dude, you need to chill. We were only saying that it sucks when someone, usually higher level, decides to come into where you are killing and take all the mobs.

I understand perfectly the plight of non-soloing classes - there is a reason why I hate soloing; because I don't get to hang out with friends, my warrior, cleric, paladin, rogue (etc. etc.) friends and they wouldn't be able to get xp.

But together, we get to go places I can't by myself anyway.

                  So breeeeathe. =)

Regarding Guk - dead side: I am a halfling and my husband is an Iksar. We both wanted the woodelf crown so yes, we would clear that zone and left no mobs standing while we did it - just for the faction.

What we also did was PL every single person who zoned in. I would tell them we were killing everything and if they wanted they could join us and get all the exp and loot in exchange for the inconvenience of us killing all the mobs. We PLed many many toons including one guy who went from 44 - 50 in one day. They didn't complain about anything other than needing to make bank runs. Go figure.

GD for the purpose of Cov factioning is not the best choice, to the point that is a bad choice.

                      1. I hate, hate, hate with a passion seeing frost giant toes and beards on vendors. Yet people sell them all the time. Grr.

                      2. Faction hits are muuuch greater in Kael. So much more that it is worth the time to find a group to go to Kael with you, rather than solo it in GD anyway. Heck, it's almost worth trying to solo in Kael.

Now granted, maybe AOEing GD is efficient enough for the purposes. But when someone has taken ALL the mobs like that, isn't there some kind of zone disrutption thing you can /petition them on? Or you just have to wait till they die and respawn, and convince the druid in the meantime to leave some for you to kill?

1 kael raid = 1 jump in cov faction

1 month of hunting giants and wolves (quaaded puppies) = 1 jump in cov faction. you had to deal with a selfish idiot.

use your warrior and pull trains for my wizard to massacre. problem solved.

kk the RM idea sounds good for fine steel will do....
No warriors still aren't balanced to the other classes...
I am not trying to attack anyone this was just my primal scream about the injustices of everquest..If I was smart I wouldn't have made my first character a warrior, but its still rewarding. No one can get slapped around and get back up like a warrior.

Have you ever tried to convince a caster not to solo something. Let me tell you my favorite caster story. I went to RM with 3 other chars (all level 30) and set up a camp near giant hill where we had two spawns TWO SPAWNS and some testerone driven punk with his ill gotten ubber wizzard comes along and nukes a giant while I am pulling. And when I politely informed him that we were camping that spawn he replied with "I pull from where ever I want to here." So no there's nothing that can be done and I just live with it and complain every now and again.

Went to CC last night. Did my usual /ooc Camp check.
There were 6 people in there, myself included, 2 people were not anon. Got 2 responses...

Anon_01 and Anon_02 were partnered. Both conned red to me. I eventually offered to give him my 1 large brick to help get him out faster. He took it, said he'd give me all of his small bricks for it. Now, I don't know how many small bricks he had, but 3 and 1 temper becomes 1 large brick. Why he did not combine them is beyond me. I did pass on the small bricks, though.

After he left, I had the place to myself for half an hour before having to log out. I got 3 small pieces, and 2 small bricks.

sell the small bricks in bazaar or trade to someone who has blocks.

dispelling a snared and/or rooted mob is fun when someone is a puke.

good luck and have fun to everyone.
