  • Class and Farming

Just as a side note... My main is a Druid ...... But I do my farming with my Beastlord!

Additionally with PoP availible he never seems to be more than 15 minutes from whatever he is interested in collecting that evening!

I also never remembering ever SELLING one spider silk! I'm a part-time tailor.

    In closing:

Many classes are very good at farming... Mages, Druid, Beastlords, Rangers, etc.....

I used my beastlord to farm ice goblin blood in permafrost over the weekend. Talk about a farming machine.

Me thinks this was meant as a reply, not a new topic. I agree though, pet classes do make the best farmers, especially when you're farming green con mobs, rarely ever have to use any mana other than summoning the pet. I use my necromancer to farm spiders, pelts, and the such.

My buddy got the tradeskill bug and so now he's farming pelts and silks for his troll SK to skill up on as well - nothing makes a better farming class than a high 40s tank that's got a 2H slashing weapon and is killing most targets in one or two swings.

He'll pick up a 10 shot SOW potion in the bazaar before he heads out and then it's the most wonderfully efficient slaughter you've ever seen - he's even had dr00d farmers screaming to the zone that he's killing everything before they can.

          Farming

You're right it was ment to be a reply heh heh... I just klutzed out and selected New Topic! Doh...

Anywho... I'm glad that there ae more people who recognize the value of other classes as farmers. It's not glamorous, but if you want to do tradeskills and don't have tons of cash it's the only way to go!

            *snicker*

Rogues with SOW are pretty good farmers, too. There's nothing quite so satisfying as watching a spider keel over from a single massive backstab wound!
No matter how subtle the wizard, a dagger between his shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style.

Actually - it's the pet that is named Giggles. Because, well, skeletion pets... giggle.

And yes, mowing through loins is quite the ... image.

Mages and Necro's are amazing farmers. But I'll stick with Enchanter. If farming in a zone with dark blues, nothing like being able to do that crowd control on the adds.

Then again, we are made of paper and I hate having to cash Tash on every single green mob to get it to come to me. *shrug*
