Most odds posted in casinos are payout out odds not your odds on winning. Big difference saying you win 35 for 1 on a single number bet in roulette then telling the folks they have a 1 in 38 chance to win.
I donated 2k and got my mask of the deciever on my 6th turn in with the golden ticket I got.
And for the person that said he was glad there was no upgrade in the bazaar for 100k he spent. IF the upgrade was there would still have gambled the 100k away. If so then who would you have been mad at yourself or Sony for putting something into the game YOU decided to play instead of getting your upgrade since NO ONE twisted your arm to go into their casino and play.

READ MY SIG! .... Then.... READ IT ... AGAIN!!!
I messed up the craps odds. Yes hard 10 is 7:1 payout not 30:1 I was a long, long, ... long.... long, long ... LONG way from my last session of craps. Prior to the release of EQ long. I was thinking of the "one roll" boxcars (2 6's) payout, rather than the "they will roll double 5's before craps or another 10 point or their own point" which is the "hard 10" odds bet.
We've had threads closed before for getting too detailed about real world gambling so let's not get MIRED DOWN in gritty details SHALL WE HMM??!!??
Yes there is a difference between "payout odds" and "likelyhood odds" ... it's called "profit margin." If the payout odds say "we pay 5000:1 if this happens" it takes an IQ of about 5 to realize that -this-happens- significantly less than 1:5000 (the drinks aren't free because the casino is a charitable institution with plans to give away money) now doesn't it?
I believe that the Draggar, Kristin, Lilosh and myself were discussing the fact that in REAL casinos it's possible, with a little actual MATH to figure out what the odds are and compare them to the "payout odds" and see if the "GAMBLE" is worthwhile. Not so much in the EQ Casino apprently.
I'm presuming that you MEANT to say
IF the upgrade was there would ++YOU++ still have gambled the 100k away. ++??++
Rather than
IF the upgrade was there would still have gambled the 100k away.
Since the first asks a question and the second tells someone else what they would have done.
No one's forcing anyone to play King's Court. I personally had NO INTENTION of playing King's Court as when I play casino games in real life it's for fun, not for a chance to beat the odds.
Rule 1: The house always wins.
Rule 2: See rule 1.
Rule 3: If for some reason the house loses, they are mearly letting you hold the money for a while.
It mearly would be nice if rather than having total opacity to the "game" of King's Court (Put money in, *ding* you win/lose) there were a more "transparent" part. Like a payout schedule or some visual display. (Even the slot jockeys get to see the wheels spin... the wheels are controlled by a computer chip, the roll is actually OVER before the wheels move, but it gives the marks a way to pass the time as they grind their nickel's into the casino's coffers.)
1:10,000 manastone
1:8,000 guise of deciever
1:600 insert other item here
1:4 Misty Thicket Picnic
Gosh that would be SOOO hard... And then people could think "well if they say 1:10,000 and I put up 10kpp for 100 chances I've got a 1:10 chance of getting a manastone" and determine if it's worth the risk.
(It's probably a BAD IDEA for there to be any "delay" from handing in the token to the handing over of the reward.)
Itek: Here's my token, spin the wheel o destiny Bob.
Bob: Ok, round and round it goes... where it

As someone else said. "Gambling is a tax on people that are bad at math."
