Blue Diamond drop rate change????

Hi folks, this may just be on my server, (Brell), but in the past month Blue Diamonds went from less than 300pp to close to 600, (and rising fast). This could be caused by a few people with very deep pockets buying them all to work on tradeskills, but it really seems as if they are not dropping at the same rate. So much of my tradeskill market depends on blue diamonds, that I can no longer keep the customers supplied. I had lowered my prices as blue diamond prices dropped in the bazaar during the summer and fall, but now I will have to raise prices to make any kind of profit. I really hate how many of my tradeskill products require Blue Diamonds. Oh-well, time to get another trade skill to 250. Hmm, maybe fletching wont require BD's...

An almost identical phenomenon has happened on Veeshan with blue diamonds. I've been discussing this issue with some top crafters and farmers, and all have agreed that the drop rate has been reduced significantly. One person says that his BD farming now yields a quarter of what it did before the last patch (the major on on Nov. 5-6, that is).

What I can't fathom is whether this is an intentional change by Sony designed for the long term, an accidental change that somehow snuck in, or some sort of reaction to the exploits/dupes that they recently cracked down on. Assuming that the second or third option is correct, I would hope that drop rates increase with the next patch.

No, wait. I take that back. Regardless of the reason, I hope that drop rates increase with the next patch.

I noticed the same, but i also noticed that several zones where they drop are rarely populated these days. After hunting in Dulak myself for a fegw hours i got several BD just like before and sold them in bazaar (can't blame me for making some cash
