    Tailoring = 239 + 5%

    9 attempts at the Fire Tunic with Zero Tunics made ;( I tried them all in a row. I know i should have stopped after the first 3 fails but i just couldnt shake the feeling that the NEXT one would make it, <click> "Doh".. ok.. THIS one will do it, <click> "Grr", (rubs rabits foot) <click> "&^%F"... Anyhow, i wanted to post this to warn others. If you get 3 fails in a row. Please for the love of Sol RO STOP and come back later to try again. It may not make one bit of difference on your fail rate. But i can assure you that it will make the world of difference on how you feel about it. And as a side note: I didnt get a skill up either. Im still 239 +5%

    OUCH... /comfort

    Maybe Aid Grimel is upset that you spell his name wrong?

    Make him some pie, and beg for forgiveness?

        Never combine in PoK.

        Never combine in PoK or bazaar or any high server load zone. Grab 10 gem studded chain combines do them in PoK and then go someplace quiet like North ro and try the combine you'll see the difference.

        I have tested this with casting skillups etc. You can NOT skillup your casting skills PoK as easily as you can neriak commons or west freeport or some place where the servers are queing up hundreds of packets of junk. So you can't use this failure thing to save gem studded chains cause you'll miss skillups as much as you'll miss successes.

          I could only do the combine using the PoK loom. I am still 0/2 and taking a small break from the game.

            I am currently 0/16 on the dammed robe combine. Started at 220 skill, currently at 226. All combines done in loom near tailoring vendor. I got so mad when one of my guildies got it first try at 224 I just logged for the night.

              Ok, I guess I am one of those lucky bishes
              Went to 231 in Tailoring (on Solstice robes only since skill 180) god knows it was annoying as hell so I decided I rather fail the Robe XX times rather than getting tailoring to 250 (when I heard how many ppl failed even 15 times with 250)...

              Went to Fire, solo camped Sap. Got 3 saps in around 4 hours total there killing spiders (heard thats already pretty lucky, but I wouldnt know, it was my 1st sap trip). And against all the advices to get more saps than 3, I just got all subcombines done, went to PoK, hit combine and succeeded the robe 1st try

              HAPPY AS HELL now! Funny thing was, I knew I will make it, I even told my friends that with my luck I will just make it 1st try That makes me believe that EQ picked me to be The ONE

              Either way, GL to all that have much bigger problems than me with it, this post wasnt meant to make anyone angry, maybe give those that didnt plan on getting 250 in tailoring a positive news that it is indeed possible to do it with less, just need to be little lucky..

                Speaking of spelling his name wrong... all this time I thought the quest was to AID Grimel. I finally get my flags all lined up and I go up to see him and I learn that his name is Aid Grimel.

                I always used the word "aid" as a verb, or as a noun when describing the actual assistance provided ("aid and comfort to the enemy"). The word for a person was an "aide" ("a nurse's aide"). Dictionary.com says they are interchangeable, but that's confusing to me =)
