    Sirens... grrrr

    Well, I got a couple of items with some more sv magic on them. Got virtue, C3, and Guard of Druzzil, plus a couple shaman buffs (can't remember which 2, but was not HoS or Focus). So, my MR was up to 143, and I had 3200 HP. I was ready to head off to CS to kill me some sirens. I was talking to my friend, and he told me to keep a low level dot on myself to help break mezz if/when it landed.
    So, I get to CS, run down to the end of the peninsula... oops ran to far, agroed the Wyvern there. Snare him and run and nuke. Little while later, he is dead, and I am medding back up. Got my spells loaded up, dot myself and Harmony the 3 siren enticers. Pick one, nuke it, back up from edge of cliff, nuke it again, right clicky ESV, snare, 2 more dots, then straight nuking. Got entranced, but broke quickly. Siren finally went down. Nothing on it. Rinse, repeat. Managed to kill 12 of them, and no hairs dropped for me... urrrggghhh.
    My undoing was the last pull which was a siren enchantress. I died to her, but, I will have my revenge, and my hairs soon enough.
    I think I am going to get one more Velium Blue Diamond Bracelet to help bring my MR up to almost 155 for the next time I take them on.

    FYI: Levelling helps a lot for resisting. Sirens can't stick anything on my 109 unbuffed MR.

      44 wizard with 42 or better now halfling buddy. if you can do it i will see if we can. still impressive though. grats.

        Just hope you don't get mezzed, cause you might wind up nuking your buddy to death.

          figured on low level dot like you said. should be able to nuke them quick enough together i hope.

            Low level dot is ok for mez, but if you get charmed, you will nuke your buddy to death. I'm notorius for shaman killing when I get charmed (have 3 kills to my credit so far).

              oh sorry. charmed its crap buff and remove it after buffing then cancel magic each other.

                  Hrmm, as a 63 bard, I can solo 5 or so at once, usually charm one for fun. I tried mezz and mana drain, wasn't worth the trouble. I only have around 140 MR unbuffed, but the reasonable odds off a spell landing are 1 in 20 or so. They like to tash, that can be annoying. My best advice is get 3 junk buffs and as many stackable MR buffs up as you can past that. VBD bracers are ok, but the extra mana you lose imo is a hard hit.

                    Well, I am past the 255 wis cap, even after removing 2 +7 wis rings, a +5 wis bracer and a +3 wis bracer, so, I think I am doing ok with the mana.
                    By the way, what MR buffs stack? I thought they just got overwritten by the more powerful one.

                      vbd bracers give a straight 30 to mana. what mana loss are you talking about? i am at int cap too but few things give me enough int at my level to beat 30 straight mana. i am also only 44 so few things i can get have more than +30 mana for wrists.

                        Well, I got my MR up to 160 last night, with the help of GoD. I got in a few good kills, but still no hairs.

                        I then managed to get feared, run into the wyverns (no sow on) and no gate loaded. I died again, but I prolonged it and then it took me and my friend half an hour to find my corpse.

                        Got rezzed, then when and quaded the wolves in GD for the wiskers. No luck there either.

                          i quadded the wolves in gd for several levels and only looted 1. got another after they were mostly light blue for memmories. i was suprised.

                            Well, I got my MR up to 170 last night, and went and killed a few more sirens. I got 1 hair then I proceeded to get killed.
                            I looted my body, but managed to agro the **** ting in the process, wound up getting charmed and sent into the water.. thank Karana for my Lodi shield. I was unable to get my gate off, kept getting feared right near the end of the cast. So, now my body lies broken and tattered rotting in a shallow watery grave, of which i have no clue of the location

                              but your are still at least 44 and have the cs port to bring your own necro for corpse summon right? good luck.
