  • EQ economy a lot like the computer industry

I just had a sudden realization that I've not heard on this board before. EQ markets, with new TSers selling for cheaper all the time is exactly like the computer industry. I remember when anyone could build computers in their garage to make money. Now, only a company running a tight ship, and willing to work with small profit margins can survive.

Yes, it sucks for the small business man who can't make money the same way any more. But I could not afford the cool computer I have now any other way.

( I hope Verdandi considers this a new random comment, and not the continuation of a closed discussion. And if I have erred, I'll just have to beg forgiveness or offer bribes. Polar bear like salmon, right?)

But the Ma&Pa computer stores have one advantage over tradeskillers...

    Service.

We don't have to worry about our armor ever tearing, or swords breaking (and I'm sure they did in Medieval days). We don't need support on that collapsable (insert) kit.

The best we can do is upgrades.

I'm bored, who needs a 50Rog in their group?
    Draggar De'Vir
    92 Assassin - Povar

47 Druid of Tunare - Lockjaw

Hark! Who is that, prowling along the fields! It is Draggar De'VIr, hands clutching two hardened pitas! He cries gutterally: "In the name of Thor the Mighty, I hereby void your warranty, and send you back to God!!!"
