No More Griffon Eggs =)

Ok, well i don't know if this would fall into the

"Info on exploits, cheats and macro crafting not allowed"

category, if it does just delete it, my purpose is to relieve some grief for people not cause more.... anyways... After I spent countless hours farming griffon eggs against competition of around 8 or 9 people at a time I figured I had to offer some salvation to those that might wish to avoid this.

Its simple really have someone who has done the 3rd shawl hand Loremaster Borannin the Seal of Thoridain, that they got back when they turned in thier 2nd shawl. Then the lucky recipiant of this will turn in thier second shawl and recieve the third shawl and Seal of Thoridain. Thus skipping the satanic snow griffons!

Now, this is just One druid's opinion here, but I've seen Verdandi and the gang discuss MQs of the shawl before.

So this wouldn't be too far out of line, If I'm guessing correctly.



Then again, I do not in any way speak for the mods or admins of EQTC.

This was the type of thing worth registering for, I only wish it had been found sooner, oh I will also add that I have confirmed this, as of 11-14-03.

Those of you, who have done this griffon camp, know just how much of a pain it is, those of you who haven't, I envy you !! And I had a 200 skill tracker with me for the 3 camps of it I went through, we were also clearing the zone in mass with 65 enc, 65 cle, and 51 wiz AE team. Since clearing the zone seems to help spawns. But I guess all that info is moot now. Just find youself a friend =)

I would say there's a difference between MQ (the work was done, just by someone else) and what's talked about here, which is skipping content through a hole in the quest.

Snow Griffons aren't as bad as all that, IMO.
Mind you, it took me less than a dozen griffs to get my four eggs, so I may be slightly biased....

have someone else do your smithing for the 8th shawl and start the walk. you hand your 7th shawl into the avatar and get your 8th shawl back. someone still has to do the smithing though. i think this is more of a cheat but i haven't seriously camped the griffons yet though. been eaten by them but not the other way around.

MQ'ing by using Thoridain's Seal seemed so painfully obvious to me that I was afraid to try it.

Then I majorly lucked out on the griffins and only had to kill a dozen or so.

Good karma, maybe?

if you had someone else make the souflee and mq'd it and the napkin it would be ok. mq'ing the seal you can skip the whole baking section though.

I think I made my guild leader nearly cry with that one though. Took him three or four days of roughly 3 hour sessions to get the four eggs with his cleric, and the last egg he just could not get to drop... until I showed up and tracked down the nearest griff and killed it, with a nice, pretty egg on it.


Maybe I'm good luck? Why can't I get that lucky in skill up attempts?

guildie has 4 griffon eggs for me. already through that part of shawl himself. since baking is now at 204 i really dont think i'm cheating there and not putting in the work for baking. not doing it with like 9 baking hehe.
