I created a cleric the other night, just for using in LDoN, as just about every group wants one. I figured I was going to level him up to 20, then do nothing, with exception of getting the TEMP spell, except LDoN adventures with him. I wanted to equip him in the sandblasted armour that can be created from items collected in Takish Hiz. My smithing is 188, so it would be a chance to get some skill ups on it. Unfortunately, I have not been able to get in a group lately to go and forage the needed items. I will not buy the Sand Verbena in the bazaar, I refuse to pay 100 - 150pp for an item that I can forage. But, then, I could buy the items from a NPC vendor for CHEAPER (hello..problem with this SOE) than I can make them. The only problem with that is that I can't find any on any of the vendors I have been to, and I have been to almost all of them, but they seem to have multiple amounts of the other LDoN armours on them. Urrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhh.

pok. found the sandblasted gorget, bp, and legs other day on the dorfs with the forges. almost bought it for my cleric dwarf alt. want to make it for him too much though.

Check the dwarf smithing vendors by the forge, as well as the iksar ones by the other forge in the Plane of Knowledge. I've found scores of LDON smithed armor on them. Sometimes you'll find a lot of gothic steel, sometimes a lot of calcified. Depends on who was skilling up earlier and dumping the results.Comment

Yep, I do. I also find a lot of the Gothic and Calcified, but, I specifically want the Sandblasted for the Wisdom.
I was fortunate enough last night to land a group that wanted to do an adventure in N ro last night. I was able to forage 7 sand verbena, but, we failed the adventure. (everybodys timer varied on the time we supposedly had left.... urrrgghh). So, I made 7 pieces last night, had no failures, and no skill ups, still at 188. I just need to make the bracers, gauntlets and waist piece, and my new alt will have a complete set. Though, I just might trade out the gorget for a velium polished quartz necklace that I had a friend make for me with some of the polished quartz I managed to forage.Rewde

if i could get another mp item would trade bam for it. take more stat hits with my other gear trading it though.
