Well, I'll admit that from time to time, the RNG has been fairly kind to me as well, as this situation proves. I think that's just its cruel way of getting you used to good things happening though, so that you're all the more devastated when the Really Bad Things happen

What exactly is the point of the RNG in tradeskilling final combines ?

OK originally I feel it was their way of taking plat out of circulation. And by golly it does a **** fine job of it to this day. It stole 30k worth of components off me today alone in 2 failed final combines.

So I say up yours RNG.

I am well and truly fed up with it.

Why attempt combines worth almost as much in components as they are as a final product. With the economy the way it is there just isnt much point anymore. Guess some part of me is clinging on to the old days when tradeskilling actually had a use.

I know some dev somewhere posted something about taking plat back out of the game hence things picked up in price ie quests needing 3kpp to complete etc. I vote they find some other way besides crushing tradeskillers to achieve their devious ends. Some way that people know beforehand the cost involved instead of making us sit there with every bodily extremity (and some other parts) crossed.

Please, please, just make the drops a little rarer and make things no fail.

Just another whine from another seriously fed up tradeskiller I guess. Plenty more out there which is why I didn't start a new thread.

As to what I will do now ? Quit ? No... I will never again do a combine worth anything much for selling though . I will stick to my old tried and trusted rarely fail plat making combines.

I sit here thinking I would be at least 3 million pp better off without the RNG (lost profits and components) and am relatively sure others have lost bulk cash as well over the years. Seems like fair reward for all the effort and cost it took to get to 1750 to me..... doesn't it ??

So I say again ... up yours RNG ... at a time when they are spoon feeding the newbies every way they can they still see fit to screw over anyone who has shown they are interested enough to put the effort in.
