  • Primal scream of dizziness

AAARGH!! I can never have a "normal" cold. When the rest of my family gets the sniffles...I get the constant sneezes. When they get a mild cough, I get bronchitis. So this year I expected something funky, but never did I imagine HOW funky my cold could be.

My 3 year old got it first: Fever and a slight cough. She loves me so much, she coughed in my mouth ensuring I would share her misery (evil WENCH!). My husband got it next. He has a runny nose (lucky sod). I have had this cold for 3 days now: runny nose, cough, fever, headaches, AND...dizziness. My eyes REFUSE to uncross! Even if I concentrate real hard and scrunch up my face...there are still 2-4 of everything. And if that weren't bad enough, I'm also leaning when I walk. Husband said I'm the perpetual 45 degree angle. I think I'm the Leaning Tower of Pissiness. So when I need to see (HA!) I have to hold one eye shut. Have you ever tried to just close one eye...all day long? You can't...it will open. You have to HOLD the danged thing shut, and after a few hours of this ya get "weepy eye" and when you reach to grab a tissue, *SNAP* open comes the eye and in comes the nausea as the 4 chairs and 2 computers dance in and out of your vision.

Needless to say I am NOT a happy camper. I've never HEARD of someone going crosseyed from a cold. But now that it's happened, it's gonna happen EVERY time I get sick. I can "see" it coming (haha!)

    Grimmy

P.S. Do you have any IDEA how hard it is to "do a quick combine" while crosseyed?!?!

*Comforts everyone while wearing one of those little white masks so she does not get sick too*

Your kid purposely coughed in your mouth?? For real?? Dude, not that i'm telling you how to raise your own children, but still.... reprimand the kid >_< she might get the idea that that's not a horrible thing to do.

      /more comforting.

Get well soon. Go take a look at the chocolate that Chenier posted to the thread in Denmother's Corner ^_^ it'll cheer anyone up.

No she didn't cough in my mouth on purpose *bonk* She's only 3! The mean spirited behaviour starts at 4 She's a very loving child that gives me lots of "kissins" and I always thank her, this time she just happened to cough as I opened my mouth. Pure innocence =)

Last time I got sick was because my fiance got sneezed on by a 6 year old (she's a k-5 music teacher), combined that with her son's fever from earlier in the week, then proceeded to pass it all on to me.

          Yay!

I can understand that. My 3-year old son bloodied my nose once. He was about to give me a kiss when he sneezed. His head jerked forward and he ended up head-butting me right in the face. My nose started bleeding (he didn't break it or anything, just hurt like nobody's business). Needless to say, he was horrified. After I fixed up my nose it took much assurance and consolation that (a) he didn't really hurt Daddy that bad and (b) no, he wasn't in trouble.

Just because I can't resist putting my 2 cents in.... you're probably dizzy due to inner ear congestion - an inner ear infection. It can happen when a cold morphed into a mega-cold and you get an ear infection and then WHAM you're dizzy and can't stand up straight and stuff. Happened to my baby brother a few weeks ago... you might want to see a doctor if it doesn't clear up!
