My jaw hit the floor today when I found a Metallic substance for 10pp on the vendor near the PoT bank. I've been trying to buy those for 5K with no luck, but there it was on a vendor.

Speaking as someone who recently got EP access:

Weird that the ivory cannine tooth was so expensive compared to the ivory beak-the teeth are about five times more common of a drop.

Fiery Granite is COMMON-I've got 14 sitting on a mule and zero magma to go with them-by comparison, I usually end up with about the same number of granite as I do of Doomfire Sashes/Fire-Veined Stone (both pure VT drops)/various diamonds-I'm not surprised you found one on a vendor.

The Vegarog Vine and Elemental Stone were definately HUGE finds-could use a few like that, myself =P

Once a few months ago, I got about 10 stacks of laquered opals off the JC merchant in PoK-worst part was I saw them day after day for nearly a week and it finally dawned on me how much cheaper they were than if I made them myself-picked them up about 6 hours before a patch >.<

I have made about 10K vendor mining recently. Funny how my main is lvl 35 and my bro has a 54 shammie and he is jealous of the plat I can make in the bazaar. I started vendor mining when I found 2 spider fur belts (a long time ago) for 2pp each. I also buy alot of blue diamonds from the vendors, I can make about 100pp each in the bazaar.

Where do you mostly look? POK library? I went there once, but there are so many vendors..... I mostly go to east/west commons for silks and pelts.

Wow, you can make plat off of BDs? News to your server, the BD market died many many months ago... I skip over buying BDs off of vendors cause they are just a pain to sell for anything resembling a profit.

Best find recently: 3 Reruga Claws.

BD's aren't worth it that much. 262PP from a merchant, and sell for roughly 300PP after they collect dust in the bazaar.

Diamonds bought from merchnts isn't a good buy, 195PP off them, but they're selling 150-175 in the bazaar (hmm, maybe I should buy them ans sell the trader bought ones to a merchant!)

PoT and Gunthak are good for diamonds, but the Commons, Gunthak (quick run from Stonebrunt) and the Karanas (mainly EK and NK) are all good for pelts.

<Does the happy vendor mining dance>
Found a Tolan's Darkwood Breastplate on a vendor for 800p.
(Ranger clicky armor from Kunark. Has Ring of Faydark on it)

I've seen it for sale up to 80k. I've been offered 64k so far.

                  Someone, someplace, is bummed.

Friend found an ornate chain mold (forget which one it was, wasn't BP or legs though) on a vendor.

Sold it within 10 minutes at 35k.

That'd be a profit of 34,999.99. Yep, vendors sell the molds at one copper.

                    He was a happy camper.

I will occasionally buy all the BD's available on merchants in the Bazaar (3-6 stacks), use what I need for BD cultural and throw the rest on my mule marked at 280pp...they sell slowly, I make a tiny margin of profit and I always have more BD's when I need them.

But then I have the capitol to do that...mostly just a convenience for me...

I really haven't had any *big* ticket items.

I've done OK vendor mining trade-skill items that I don't need.

Pretty cool IMO, as well. Saves on subcombines. Too bad they didn't add steel boning and make them into baskets for you too

I was beside myself one day when I found some of those..
Also when I found some picnic baskets..

Subcombines are always a great find, esp when you find 2+ stacks for less of the price of 4 basic components..

                                That's always a good feeling.
