Failed the 7th shawl yesterday, got as far as the

Combine in Jewelry Kit: Rune Casing + Velium Etched Rune = Encased Velium Etched Rune (Jewelcraft 162)

and got the old "you lack the skill..." message. I have 189 JC and had the Geerlok equipped.

I did a guildies 6th..then another guildies 6th. No problem. Then I combined my own. Flunked it. All on trivial.

Yesterday I combined a guildies 7th shawl. No problem.
Then I started the combine for my own. Flunked. On a trivial.

I am sooo glad we found 5 runed sea shells with EB in Sirens Grotto.

I was doing my 7th combine and succeeded when the servers crashed on brell, GM's in chat basically said it will roll back nothing they can do, well needless to say when I logged on and tried again I failed this time. /sigh I am soo done with this server crash chit and no one having compassion anymore. Just went to the bazaar, bought the blood for $3700 & the shell for $1000, gated back to Thurg and went through the combines & prayers again.

I stopped by to see how others were making out with this... feeling really frustrated, myself.

I attempted my first combine when my skill was 189, plus assist by Geerlok. I failed.

I attempted my second combine, having increased skill to 200, plus assist by Geerlok. I failed again.

I do not want to work Gemcrafting above 200, at least not at this time... Is there any hope?

I failed to mount a diamond for an Artisan's Seal at 189 in Jewelcraft. The trivial on that is 16.

ok yea....now that sucks....hate when that happens...like when you buy 20 ores to make 10 bits...and just HAPPEN to fail one when your smithing skill is 230ish.......then ya gotta run back to the merch just to buy 2 ores for one bt ><
